Back in Las Vegas, I am proud taking part in #ASNT's annual conference where professionals from across the world of NDT industry participate, collaborate and meet. Specifically the discussions with our customers and striving for optimal results in the challenging supply chain of radioactive sources used in Industrial gammagraphy is of great importance. Note: Industrial radiography is a very useful tool for the non-destructive control of equipment and/or structures that may have an impact on the safety of industrial installations (petrochemical, metal structures, welding sites, ...). After all, defects in this material could have disastrous consequences for the population, employees and the environment. Therefore, industrial radiography, which uses a radiation source, is used to guarantee reliable control.

It’s been a busy half of this year, with a backlog of media to follow…..   This project was off the coast of Denmark and it's true the scandinavian working & living conditions are excellent. This campaign was par of the Tyra re-development project, raising, reinstating, renewing the production facilities & upgrading the surface x-tree's. Wireline's involvement included removing deep set Interwell bridge plugs, gas lift reverse circulation of the wells via Nitrogen lifting followed by running Sondex MIT's and accustic logging equipment for leak detection. After using the ASEP data split controlling the winch via a video feed, I realised this operation could have been completed remotely/autonomously from a control room back on shore via fibre optics, we would just require to toolstring physically changing. (Ideal plan for future Pre-deployment campaigns) Some of the hydrostatic calc’s you see are a small part of the IWCF-L4 cert requirements.... There is something about being above the clouds I enjoy as you can see from the last image. (bring on sky cities to overcome overcrowding).
