Media monitoring can be challenging for any pr/comms pro and especially agencies. There's a common fear that an executive or someone in your org is going to see an article or breaking story that directly involves your company and/or client before you're able to read it and share a link. Many have used a variety of tools including monitoring software subscriptions, apps, curated content via email and social media to stay ahead of the curve. Certainly, it may be unfair to be able to see everything in real time, but the expectation from executives and those around you doesn't change. However with the proliferation of AI, this task may be getting a bit easier for both agencies and comms pros within a company. It will also likely provide you with the ability to streamline and tailor articles/coverage internally with your executives and key peers.
