The continuation of world engineering week marks an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our own engineering teams collaborative approach. Engineering innovation is at the forefront of all we do at Cairnhill; investing in machinery and technology, sharing ideas and insight, as we constantly strive to deliver the best solution every time. A recent example of this is our use of CMM equipment (FAROArm) to ensure we survey and position the pipe clamps to adhere to the correct tolerances of 0.2mm, this was required to position datum pads which was achieved with ease. This ensures the pipes remain in the correct position on first fit. Part of an assembly for a bigger fabrication for one of our customers in the defence sector.
