Accomplished healthcare leader with proven history of innovative approaches to healthcare challenges; dynamic people leader, skilled in value-based healthcare world.
Great to hear that a payer is investing (and it's important to define it that way vs. simply a FFS increase) in its independent PCPs - an even better way is to involve those PCPs into VBC arrangements, whether through their own ACOs, joining existing hospital-based ACOs, or through a form of capitated arrangement that allows the PCPs to focus on outcomes rather than churning through as many patients as possible to maximize revenue.
A positive development, but perhaps too little too late, as only about 25% of our physicians have been able to remain independent.
