🥸 Geek alert 🥸 Last weekend we deployed our biggest technical release of the past 5 years! We rebuilt our complete infrastructure from scratch, to be even better prepared for future growth of our customers! What we did: - Implemented .NET Aspire locally - Migrated from Service Fabric to Azure Container Apps - Set up our own container registry, and containerizing all (!) our services, from backend to frontend - Implemented dynamic scaling rules to scale our APIs and worker nodes automatically, using KEDA rules - Automatic patching of .NET CVEs - Scripted our complete infrastructure using BICEP - Moved to multi-staged pipelines in Azure DevOps (no more classic release pipelines!) - Deployed a fresh API Management (thanks Spikes !) using the new V2 platform, with an internal gateway - Built priority based requests to our data storage, making sure our frontend (and thus users) always have priority over any backend load on a tenants environment in case of throttling - Fully migrated to .NET 8, including migrating away from a custom JSON solution to the new polymorphic supporting System.Text.Json - Typed all our DTOs, to support the next improvement track 😉 - Made sure we can continue to push changes/fixes with 0 downtime, using different health check mechanisms It's a very big achievement of our team, and I'm very proud of them as this will make sure we have set a rock solid baseline for future development! Next up; Migrating our front-end (React) to Blazor (hence the DTOs ..., quite a job for 500+ APIs!) Looking forward to finishing this migration and being able to deliver new functionality and removing friction with our users even faster! 🙏🥳 Want to work with the latest and greatest technologies? We are still looking for .NET developers! #saas Zero Friction #energymeteringandbilling #wearehavingfun

A cloud-based application refers to software applications that are hosted, accessed, and operated entirely over the internet, rather than on a user's local computer or on-premises servers. These applications leverage cloud computing infrastructure and services to provide various functionalities to users!! www.orangebitsindia.com 📲 +91-8446989833 #orangebitsindia #technology #webapplications #customsoftware #Coding #development #longterm #project #projectmanagement #devops #workflows #developer #dotnetdeveloper #growth #team #java #javascript #angular #react #reactjs #reactnative #sprint #artificialintelligence #internetofthethings #corporatelife #worklifebalance #management #cloudcomputing #artificialintelligence #aieverywhere #technology #vision #cloud #cloudbased

🚀 Excited to share my latest project on LinkedIn! I've just completed a fascinating project showcasing a lift and shift strategy to deploy a Java application using Maven, Tomcat, Memcached, MySQL, and RabbitMQ on AWS infrastructure. The project leverages EC2 instances for application deployment, AWS S3 for artifact storage, and Route 53 for DNS queries. You can check out the full details of the project [vprofile](https://lnkd.in/d_UcqTya). Test Login Credentials: URL: [vprofile](https://lnkd.in/d_UcqTya) Username: admin_vp Password: admin_vp I'd love to hear your thoughts and insights on the project. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to share them in the comments section below. Your feedback is invaluable in helping me improve and refine my skills. Let's spark a conversation and exchange ideas! Looking forward to hearing from you. #Java #AWS #DevOps #LiftAndShift #TechProject

🌟 Azure DevOps Server Segmentation Cheat Sheet Network Segmentation: - Segments: Internet, Production, Frontend, Middleware, Backend. - Areas: Frontend, Middleware, and Backend segments within the network. Contractors and Employees: - Employees: Access to Frontend, Middleware, Backend segments. Includes "DMZ for employees." - Contractors: Limited access, primarily to the DMZ area, possibly connecting via VPN. Azure DevOps Components: - Git Server - Build Agents & Server - CI/CD Service - Other Git Services - Artifact Repository - Testing & Deploy Services - Interactions: Git clones, publishing, and downloading from GitHub, AppStore, and Google Play. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): - VDI: Likely use within the DMZ, especially for contractors. This cheat sheet provides a quick reference to network segmentation, access restrictions, and Azure DevOps services within the Azure DevOps Server environment. Understand your Azure DevOps environment better with this handy guide! 🚀 #devops #devopsengineer #jenkins #devopstools #interviewtips #interviewquestion #git Credit : Unknown

🚀 Engineering opportunity - .Net, AWS, Angular/REACT Microservices, Lambda, NoSQL, Observability, Security We have a full-stack role. But as we all know it is not possible to be truly full-stack whether it be consciously or subconsciously there is always a preference. With this role, the weighting is on the backend. 🔙 I am looking for an API guru who can confidently lead the organisation through its API re-development, which means moving to a microservice, tackling observability and security. Everything will be built to scale using best practices. 🌟 Do you consider yourself to be an API mastermind? 🌟 Are you across engineering best practices? 🌟 Can you confidently talk about the microservices architecture you have worked on? 🌟 Would you like to help drive an organisation through an API modernisation? If the answer to the above is YES then reach out to David Moore and Chad McMillan #engineering #highavailability #lowlatency #microservices #api #engineer #agile #tdd #continuousintegration #continuousdeployment #lambda

🚀 Hey, C# wizards! Let’s chat about supercharging our backend development with a little magic from Azure DevOps. 🛠️✨ Gone are the days of tangled deployment processes and versioning nightmares. With Azure DevOps, we’ve got a seamless pipeline that takes our code from 💻 to ☁️ with finesse. It’s like having a co-pilot for your codebase, ensuring smooth landings every time. For those diving into Azure DevOps, here's a quick tip: Start leveraging the CI/CD features to automate your build and release processes. It’s a game changer, especially for us C# folks managing complex backend systems. Plus, who doesn’t love hitting 'deploy' without that pang of anxiety? So, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, Azure DevOps is your ally in crafting scalable, efficient backend solutions. Let’s make our development journey a bit less bumpy and a lot more fun. Cheers to coding smarter, not harder! 🎉 #CSharp #BackendDevelopment #AzureDevOps #EfficiencyUnlocked

🌟 Thrilled to Lead a Session on AWS Server Setup! 🌟 I recently had the exciting opportunity to lead a session on server setup with AWS for our React and Node.js team! As a junior software engineer, it was a rewarding experience to share knowledge with a talented group of developers, from juniors to leads. In the session, I covered how to: • Set up an EC2 instance • Configure Nginx • Deploy both Node.js and React code • Talked about importance of CI/CD pipelines • Set up a reverse proxy • Utilize process managers for efficient Node.js application management There’s still so much more to explore, but with time constraints, we had to wrap it up. I'm looking forward to diving deeper into more complex topics in future sessions, and showing how to tackle them effectively. Grateful for the engagement from the team and excited for the next opportunity to share and learn together! #AWS #ServerSetup #NodeJS #React #Nginx #CICD #ReverseProxy #TechLearning #SoftwareEngineering #JuniorEngineer
