I recently attended my very first FIA Conference, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you all! 🎉 As someone who has primarily been involved in the corporate sector, stepping into the world of NFP has been so refreshing. The FIA Conference was an eye-opening journey that left me inspired and motivated. Here is what I discovered: Collaboration and Networking: The conference was a hub of collaboration. Non-profit professionals came together to share ideas, experiences, and best practices. Impactful Sessions: The conference featured a diverse range of sessions. From fundraising strategies to event ideas, each talk provided practical takeaways. I learned about innovative approaches to address social challenges and enhance the impact of NFP organisations. Purpose-Driven: The heart of the conference was the shared commitment to a purpose and everyone was aligned. Where passion meets purpose to create a positive change. Real Stories: Hearing personal stories from beneficiaries was incredibly moving. These narratives reminded us why we do what we do. Challenges and Solutions: The conference didn’t shy away from discussing challenges. We explored emerging issues and global trends. However, alongside the challenges, we also delved into creative solutions and adaptive strategies. Let’s continue working together to create a better world! 🌎💙 #FIAConference #WherePassionMeetsPurpose National Breast Cancer Foundation Fundraising Institute Australia

I wish I were one of the 12 women granted $20 million by Melinda French Gates. I would have distributed it among C/Can cities' local CSOs to strengthen their organizational capacity, enabling them to expand their impactful work without fundraising and reporting hassles. (#MelindacallIsabel) Until Melinda gets to know us and learns that the C/Can model works, I will continue working closely with all our partners. 😍 Because cancer care requires a cross-sector commitment to drive real and meaningful change, partnerships between the non-profit and for-profit sectors are essential. For 6 years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Roche. Our journey has been incredibly rewarding, filled with challenges and breakthroughs. After a comprehensive partnership review of our collective impact, we decided to document our journey and develop a collaboration framework between City Cancer Challenge and Roche. We both agree this framework could help many organizations navigate cross-sector collaborations. It may not be a one-size-fits-all, but I believe it will benefit many CSOs and corporates. Access the framework here 👉 https://lnkd.in/diVTfp-Y Here is a short video that captures reflections from Michael Oberreiter and I on our partnership and roadmap for the next three years ahead! Founder of Flying Cars Innovation | We help charity fundraisers build brilliant new campaigns that raise £millions 🌈
Nine sessions I can't wait to see on the first day of Fundraising Convention next week ⬇️ 1️⃣ 'Outward mindset approach to leadership' with Max Newton + Lindsay Tilston (Cert)MCIOF (Cert) session itself looks great - also very keen to see what socks Max is wearing 😱 2️⃣ 'Make AI work for your Fundraising' with Pancreatic Cancer UK + Katie May - always keen to hear real examples of how people are using AI day to day ❤️ 3️⃣ 'Insights, data & benchmarking from leading mass participation teams' - this is always a great session and fabulous speakers -> Seren Evans, Alysia McDonagh, Ian O'Reilly, Hannah Victor (née Richards) + John Tasker 4️⃣ Lunchtime workshop - 'understanding menopause' with Diane Danzebrink - just great to see this on the agenda ✌🏾 5️⃣ 'Fundraisers of Faith' - unusual angle, not often talked about - with James Barker, Adam Overlander-Kaye, Jenifer Wainwright + Na'eem Raza 6️⃣ 'How did Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity build their Great Big Lottery to over 80K' with Abena Bentum + Phillip Gerrish - I'm always excited by big numbers and I know Abs will be a fab presenter 7️⃣ 7️⃣ 'Fundraisers disasters we have been directly responsible for' with Michael Dent It's not often leaders own or even talk about stuff that have gone badly wrong. And fear of failure inhibits a lot of innovation - so this should be brilliant 8️⃣ 'Honey I shrunk the database' with Kat Townsend, Hannah Mason, Jon K. + Helen Daw - I'm a sucker for a good title 9️⃣ 'How Gaming broke Fundraising - the Jingle Jam story' with Julian Barrell + Rich Keith. Jingle Jam is an incredible even and fixture in the fundraising calendar. Can't wait to hear it's origin story! This is the first day! It's a fab programme and can't wait to listen and learn. 👩🎓 #fundraising #innovation #CIOFFC
