Does such talent exist on the market? I'm hiring for a unique type of talent into the team that who can do wireframe / prototyping quickly using UI/UX design tool such as Figma, meanwhile he/she should be having the in-depth know-how of AI or Machine Learning (which means better he/she is originated from tech background but have an outstanding aesthetic appreciation capability.). I'm not sure whether such talent would exist on the market. But I do know I definitely don't want to hire two separate individuals to create 10x communication burden trying to let artist/designer and geek talking at same channel.

Good question. Really depending on the expectations. Both AI/ machine learning and front end / full stack require time and dedication to develop the skills. 1. a candidate with senior experience 5+ years on both sides = 10 years working time, or 5 years + OT….? 2. a candidate with strong experience in front end/ full stack, and considering using AI/ML services as calling API, or recently looking into building apps with LLM with prompting, may be RAG? 3. Experienced in AI/ML, strong in ML theories, able to identify the problem/ choosing and building model once data available, probably knowing how to deploy the model as backend, and monitoring the performance, may be able to write a demo with gradio, or have taken some beginner level front end / full stack certificates from Coursera, Udemy etc ? Really depending on what the task is and expectations.

I have met people with this skillset in the past, typically they self-classify as 'data journalists'.

My company actually has that exact talent pairing. We specifically created our company to pair technical expertise with design expertise. We're only a year old, but it is run by my brother and I who have been in business ventures together multiple times. Under this company, we've already had 2 contracts, working on renewing one of the contracts after the client works out pricing details with NASA. Additionally, we have another prototype project we are working on in the AI field hoping to go MVP/Beta live soon. We're experienced in getting a project up and running and into MVP stage pretty quickly so clients can get their data and move forward with their plans quickly. I sent you a DM, let me know if that interests you.

Try TAAP, an enterprise scale no code agile applications platform. Elastic scale, integrations into many different data services and gateways, shape and transform data to drive ML/AI training and app interoperation.

I think you will struggle to find that person, most people I know who work in the ML/AI field come from a data specialism background such as data engineering, data scientist etc. These specialisms are generally focusing on solving data problems in the backend rather than building front end user experiences such as a web app.

I am interested in your post Martin QIAO! I'm not sure if I'm the person you're looking for. I graduated from UX design background which I know how to create wireframe/prototyping, and I worked as a developer for more than 7 years. Although I am new to AI/ML area, I have a strong desire to learn and grow in this area. Let's discuss more on it if you are interested!

The only background I can think of that might match this is a full stack data engineer who has built some nice front-ends for internal customers of their data... might exist but definitely a stretch. You might find someone who is skilled in one side and has done the other side in a personal project/side hustle, so maybe you can consider that Martin QIAO?
