It all started when a client reached out with an unusual request: they wanted to implement TiTo* without using a printer.
*Quick explainer for those unfamiliar: TiTo (Ticket-In, Ticket-Out) is a standard cashless method in the land-based gaming industry. It traditionally requires a printer to produce a ticket with a barcode for validation.*
One of my team members approached me with this client issue / limitation. With 30 projects already on our plate, I have to admit, my initial reaction was less than enthusiastic—okay, maybe even dismissive. But what happened next blew me away.
He took the challenge to our CTO and CDS, and just a week later, he came back with a solution. Not only did they come up with an innovative approach, but they also had a working prototype ready to go. I was surprised, proud, and yes, a little jealous.
In just one month, this concept evolved into **diTO (Digitally Improved Ticket Out)**—a real product now installed at a client site and ready for wide-scale commercialization.
Why am I sharing this?
Because my leadership philosophy is simple: hire geniuses, give them the space to innovate, and be there when they need support. This time, they didn’t even need that—they just delivered sheer brilliance.
One month later, here we are, launching a game-changing product. I’m in awe of this team and the way they continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
