What Roles Do Beliefs Play in Society? #Beliefs #Values #Conation #CriminalJustice Who do you believe? President Biden's opponent says Biden is the worst president in history. His accuser says he's a criminal. This post states that the accuser is the worst president. Then there are the four indictments and 91 felony charges of the accuser. Is this a pot-kettle situation? People on both sides of this issue will use this news as confirmation of their beliefs. They'll rationalize the information as proof that it's the evil-doing of the other party. How will bias confirmation affect the readers? The voters? Beliefs, values, and mores affect every decision we make. Anomie is the decay of values and mores. How decadent (decay) have we become? Beliefs may reflect the decadence of a society. Is supporting a criminal for POTUS a measure of anomie and decadence? Maybe it's time for the RNC to move on from the candidate with a 28 point lead on his republican opponent. I'm reminded of Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot and his wife were warned to flee and not look back. Lot's wife hesitated. She looked back. What happened? She was turned into a pillar of salt. Evangelists and the RNC could take heed. Move on. Select someone else. Romney, Kinzinger. and Cheney are people who reflect more holsum, pro-social values. Choice is better than no choice. What are your beliefs about this? Will your vote be affected by your beliefs about what or who is right or wrong? To my point above: That's the power of the role your beliefs play in society.

Juneteenth recognizes the freedom of enslaved people of African descent in Texas. It occurred nearly two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation for the freedom news to travel to Galveston, TX. The Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, TX, on June 19, 1865. As of June 17, 2021, Congress approved a new bill recognizing Juneteenth as a national holiday. Prime example here of the Democrats’ strategy of “credentials create credibility”. They believe, by simply granting someone the title of “historian” (based on their own made up criteria and process), that makes what they have to say in the realm of history true or accurate, same with scientists, doctors, etc. The time has come to throw out bs credentials and judge information based on ITS MERIT and not ITS SOURCE. If your doctor tells you that poisonous mushrooms are good for you, will you eat them? Or will you question the merit of the information? Take this approach to everything you see and here on the internet. If it doesn’t make sense, there’s a reason.
