Encouraging your children to write gives them a valuable tool for expressing themselves and articulating their thoughts and feelings. By practicing writing, kids develop the ability to organize their ideas and communicate effectively. Writing is a powerful resource for children to find their voice and speak up confidently in the world around them. When kids feel empowered to express themselves through writing, they become more comfortable speaking up in various situations, whether it's in the classroom, with friends, or at home. Empower your child this summer by encouraging them to express themselves through writing in my in-person summer camps to help your child grow their curiosity, creativity, and confidence! Link in bio.

I love summer. The days are long, and time feels to slow down. For me, it’s a great time to tap into my creativity. What have I been putting off? What is bubbling up? What do I want to develop? In the same vein, I take time to review my goals and reflect on whether I’m working towards them or away from them – maybe it’s time to change one all together. In general, the slower days of summer are a perfect time to check-in on my overall well-being. One of my favorite methods for delving into all of the above is journaling – an age-old practice of recording thoughts, feelings, and ideas on paper. Naturally, it’s a practice I encourage children and their parents to engage in too. A great way to get your child started with journaling is to challenge them to document their summer. It is a fun way to keep them writing and reflecting throughout the summer to avoid that dreaded summer slump. We’ll be doing some songwriting this summer during Writer’s Workshop. Is your kiddo signed up and ready to go? Visit our website or DM us to learn more and secure your spot in our Summer Writing Camp!

During the lazy days of summer, it’s much easier to slow down and let kids do for themselves: 🩳 get dressed 👟 put their own shoes on 🧩 clean up their toys It’s much harder when you’re strapped for time and on the go. Yet teaching kids to take care of themselves - and problem solve what shirt to wear when they can’t find the one they want - is essential for their development and confidence – and their independence. In our upcoming Summer Writing Workshop, we incorporate activities that help kids develop these crucial skills. Sign up now and give your child the tools to solve their own problems!
