📝 Automated Answer Recognition for the “Campionati della Cultura e del Talento” Competition 🎯 This project aims to automate the recognition and analysis of answers submitted for the “Campionati della Cultura e del Talento,” an annual Italian high school competition featuring 50 multiple-choice questions on diverse topics. 🔍 Project Scope: • Quiz Structure: Each year, the competition presents participants with 50 multiple-choice questions. • Traditional Method: Teachers typically grade the quizzes manually, with a random sample selected for analysis by the hosting association. 💡 Project Objective: To improve the analysis process, this project incorporates advanced letter recognition technology to automatically digitize and organize all submitted quizzes. This approach enables: • A comprehensive analysis of all participants’ responses, rather than a limited subset. • A structured data table that allows for more precise and insightful evaluation of student performance. 📊 Impact: This enhanced method offers a deeper understanding of the competition’s outcomes, helping identify trends, areas of improvement, and broader educational insights. 🌐 Full project details: https://lnkd.in/eZQvfzeW

As I was packing for the NCURA: National Council of University Research Administrators events in HI this week, I was thinking of some of the can't-miss workshops and brilliant minds I'm going to encounter at the upcoming PRA event by NCURA in Hawaii. One of the ones I am really looking forward to for its vital importance and innovative approach: Dr. Rashonda Harris MBA, CRA, IPMA-CP's Workshop on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in higher education. Rashonda is leading a deep dive into how we can move DEI from a conversation to a core practice within our academic and professional settings. It's not just about UNDERSTANDING DEI; it's about bringing it to life in our day-to-day operations and culture, and making it a practice for our WORK LIVES. This workshop is shaping up to be a game-changer, offering actionable strategies for identifying barriers to DEI, drafting effective plans, and implementing personal and organizational changes. It promises to equip attendees with the tools they need to make DEI a tangible, impactful part of their work environment. For anyone passionate about making real strides in DEI, Rashonda's session is a golden opportunity. Sessions like these that can spark significant progress in how we integrate DEI into the very fabric of our institutions. Stay tuned for more highlights from the NCURA event, and if you're attending, consider Rashonda's workshop a must-see. Let's all keep pushing for DEI to be more than just a goal – let's make it our reality.
