Masaf Space has recently conducted a Mandela Washington Fellowship application information session in Jigjiga, Somali Region. The session was led by Abdifatah Mohamed a Mandela Washington Fellowship alumnus, and co-facilitated by Ahmed Taman, CEO of Masaf Space, and YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa Alumnus. During the session, Abdifatah shared valuable insights and application information with young leaders from the region who may have been previously unaware of the program due to a lack of awareness and information. The Mandela Washington Fellowship is a highly competitive program that brings emerging leaders from Africa to the United States for academic and professional development. The program aims to empower young leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive positive change in their communities and countries. Masaf Space, a local organization dedicated to promoting youth development and entrepreneurship, is committed to helping young people in the Somali Region access the resources and knowledge they need to be successful in their future careers and personal development. By hosting the information session, Masaf Space hopes to increase awareness of the Mandela Washington Fellowship program and encourage more young leaders from the region to apply. USAID IREX
