Many dams in the U.S. are designed to help manage flooding and reduce the intensity of floods. About 75% of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ dams are designed for this purpose, one of which includes Chatfield Dam, located in Douglas, Colorado. Operating since 1975, Chatfield is the second of three “tri-lakes” dams built by USACE to collectively reduce risks from flooding in the Denver metropolitan area. When not operating to reduce flood impacts, USACE coordinates water releases from the tri-lakes system for recreation, water quality, and to support fish and wildlife. It’s important to remember that no dam is totally floodproof. Knowing where dams are is a good first step for understanding situations where flooding can happen. 🔥 #Wildfires have been developing within the Arctic Circle throughout June, with significant activity in Russia's Sakha Republic, a region that last faced widespread devastating fires in 2021. According to data from the #CopernicusAtmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), June wildfire carbon emissions for the Arctic are already the third highest for the month in the last two decades with large smoke plumes being transported across the region. For several years, I have officially announced many times that fires in the Arctic and Arctic Circles are completely natural as the most dangerous geographical location in the world. According to the new scientific theory of the natural suffocation cycle of the earth, which is based on the behavioral physics of aerosols of the third type, the Arctic has the highest density of these special particles and has the highest density of invisible atmospheric lenses in the world! There are simple and quick scientific solutions to destroy these dangerous lenses and prevent the formation of these invisible lenses to the aim of cooling and controlling the temperature of the earth. But until now, scientists of scientific research centers and managers of the global environment have not taken serious measures to learn and practice advanced atmospheric physics to solve disasters!
