🎯🚀 From Java to Salesforce: My Journey and Your Guide to Switching Careers in Tech 🚀🎯 One day a student asks me Can I switch from a Java Developer to a Salesforce Developer? I replied - 👉 Very Very Easily. In this Digital World, the skill is very much learnable. I myself have switched from Java Full Stack Developer to Salesforce Developer back in 2021 with the Exact Framework below 👉 If you really want to get onto this track you need to ask some questions to yourself and answer those questions being true to yourself. So, ask this to yourself - 👉 Why I want to get into Salesforce ? How I can start my Salesforce Journey ? What is that 1st thing or 1st action I can do to get the Taste of Salesforce ? 🤔 👉 Once you get your clear WHY, your inclination will get onto HOW TO and eventually WHAT. For the latter two here is your guide - 👉 Getting your WHY cleared is your 1st Short Timed Validation which will make your belief system stronger and you will be in a Right Frame of Mind and Mindset. 👉 Your 2nd Validation Should Be A Long Timed Validation 👉 Here you need to start with Salesforce Learning Resources Available like Trailhead | The fun way to learn and Help And Training Community and give yourself 2 months of dedication and consistency to learn from these platforms. In those 2 months you will get to know the inside out of Whether You Are Finding Salesforce Interesting Or Not. 👉 If You Are Getting Interested You Will See Yourself Getting Some Kicks To Do Something More, Learn Something More Everyday and Improve Day By Day 👉 Then comes Networking with people already working on Salesforce Projects 😀This is just 2% stuff which I shared according to the question 😃🤩There is still 98% scope to Share and Make People Like You Win. CEO & Chief Architect, RevSolutions | Revolutionizing Sales, CPQ, Billing Solutions | 11x Salesforce Certified
14 years ago, I graduated with a computer science degree. My first job? A Salesforce developer. It was hard and I didn’t think I’d survive. It was my introduction to the ecosystem. Salesforce administration seemed manageable, but Apex? That was a different story. I struggled to write a simple Apex trigger in my first month. Today, I run a company and tackle major RevOps projects with a lean team. Only because I stuck with it. For years. The point is—compounding works like magic. You might start something today and struggle. But in the long run, persistence pays off. Stick with it, and you’ll become an expert. You can: ➡️Build a habit in 21 days. ➡️Master a skill with 1000 hours of practice. I did it. My peers did it. The world did it. And you will too. Consistency and persistence are all you need.

Provide Salesforce Strategy, Implementation, ongoing support & Resources (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience, CPQ, Einstein Clouds & Custom Development)
To excel in #Salesforce, especially in #technical roles, proficiency in #programming is essential. #Apex, Salesforce’s proprietary coding language, is a fundamental requirement for these roles. However, functional roles like Project Manager (#PM) or Business Analyst (#BA) follow a different path, requiring distinct expertise and #certifications. #Instructorled training opportunities have become increasingly rare these days, but Faisal Muhammad continues to provide valuable Salesforce training, helping to develop both Salesforce #Consultants and #Developers. #salesforcetrainings #apex #programming

I was thinking today what would happen if, for Salesforce developers, we no longer considered certs as a useful metric for knowledge. What if, moving forward, all hiring managers required devs to have at least 1 open-source fullstack Salesforce app? A portfolio app that demonstrates knowledge on: - How to implement a trigger framework - Whether the developer is really testing their code correctly - Can the developer create solutions that span declarative configuration, LWC, and Apex? - Are deployments automated through CI configuration files in the Git repository? - Are they following SOLID principles, and is their code clean? Do you know what would happen if we required such a portfolio app instead of certifications? People would start selling portfolio apps instead of exam dumps... But no seriously, could this ever work?
