Check out our Masons4Mitts #postgame interview with Masonic Foundation president Doug Ismail from last week's Masons Night at the Ballpark in #SanFrancisco! This year with your support, Masons and Giants fans helped to raise $128,683 or about 6434 mitts for Junior Giants. For 16 years, our #Masons4Mitts program has been making a lasting impact on underserved youth across California, raising over $2 million to support our four #MLB partner foundations. Through this initiative, the California Masonic Foundation, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants, provides custom-made leather baseball mitts to kids in need, ensuring they have access to quality youth baseball and softball leagues. But Masons4Mitts is about more than just the game. By also focusing on health, nutrition, wellness, and social justice, this initiative enriches the lives of young people and teaches them valuable life lessons. Excel Urgent Care of Howard Beach is honored and proud to be a sponsor of the American Softball program! being a part of our local community is one of the forefronts of our urgent care. We recognize that we all play an important part in what community means, stands for, and represents. Thank you to the American Softball program and thank you for such a lovely plaque. We are proudly displaying it in our urgent care along our Wall of Champions for everyone to see! The American Softball program is an organization for everyone. The American Softball League is a Special Needs Program for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. The players get together once a week to a fun, non-competitive social environment. "The world can be a better place" A little bit about their program: While some people may think their challenges might inhibit them from playing a sport they dreamed of, we prove to them that they can do it and make their dream of playing softball a reality. Every single player gets a chance to hit the ball, run around the bases, and play the field. Before every game, “The Pledge of Allegiance” is recited and then the team sings “The Star Spangled Banner” which inspires the players. The American Softball Organization is dedicated to helping people reach their full potential; mentally, socially and physically. It helps people to increase their social skills while allowing them a chance to play America’s greatest sport. #community #local #smallbusiness #localbusiness #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #community #support #nonprofit #volunteer #education #americansoftball #sponsor

When I post or address anything, or something about an athlete it will involve abuse of some kind or what I believe to be considered a misuse of fundings or contributions to someone who was well in dow (Wealthy), prior to death. Respectfully, prayers goes out to the surviving widow & family loss of Johnny Gaudreau, the left winger & his bro-ther. Unfortunately, while conducting a research it shown, Mr. Gaudreau had a net worth of $10M of which, he also earned $53,025,000 from his NHL career; let alone, invest-ments, endorsement & other income accumulated during his entire hockey career. I shared that info b/c the article highlighted that his fans in the sports world "raised more than $560k" via Gofundme for his surviving widow & family. That's what you call "Love" & "Appreciation" while acknow-ledging all what someone had contributed to the commun-ity, prior to death. Understandably so. My concern is about the contributions; lackthereof, when it involves our childrens' safety. Yes, this topic will always be a focal point to see justice shown to our children, as I've ob-served in the past few mon to a yr several children deaths due to neglect, murder, or even kidnapping; yet, I've never heard on the news nor on SM, or anywhere of "any" large sum of funding being allocated to locate a missing child or even large funding "such as this", to financially help a single mother, caregiver or parent(s) to cover not only burial expenses, but enough of funds allocated so that, the parent(s), caregiver would be able to have time to take off from their employment to grieve their loss in peace. Something is truly out of balance w/society's forethought of prioritizing who & what population is in dyer needs of assis-tance; such as, the many great minds w/knowledge, educa-tion, funding & engineering expertise backgrounds to come together; in order, to develop & implement better solutions to protect our children. Ex, having some afterschool "recre-ation" facilities in every city /state where the facilities are equipped w/safety & secured monitoring, structured, organ- ized w/Lic personnel for children to have a safe place to enjoy just being a child. I'm aware of the several afterschool ed programs for all age via the 21st Century Tx Afterschool Ctrs on Ed. However, that is not what I'm referencing. What I'm referrencing is, many of todays children have more energy than those past; including, my childrens' generation & mine, of which, going to school today & having only 1 maybe 2x recess thru/o their entire school day, I'm sorry- that isn't enough for these children, of today. Children today are a different breed w/lots of energy, ok? They need an outlet to run, exert physical energy even after school, as this can be [one] of the many solutions that can help eleviate & prevent child abuse from parents/BF/GF/ fiancé/Caregivers who aren't equipped nor properly trained to care for today's angels. Did anyone stay up last night to watch the Super Bowl? We won't ruin the score but alongside the star-studded crowd (looking at you Taylor!), Usher's amazing halftime show and Beyonce announcing a new album, we were interested in the charitable, environmental and community-driven aspect of the Super Bowl and the sport itself. - Did you know this was the first Super Bowl to be powered fully by renewable energy? - The NFL work with many charity partners that help support and raise awareness for early detection of cancer; the consequences of drink driving and support for victims of domestic abuse to name but a few. - They have a free digital education resources hub - Huddle at Home - for young people and their families. - The NFL have developed character education (helping young people to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships) and Environmental programmes (helping communities create everlasting change) - Inspire Change is the NFL's social justice initiative, aimed at reducing barriers to opportunity and working together across all aspects of the NFL 'family' to create positive change. There is much, much more that the NFL are supporting so please check out their website for more information. We are thrilled to read of the benefits for the communities, the environment and supporters that come from this mammoth event. https://lnkd.in/eHBGJ9XR #SuperBowlLVIII #Community #InspireChange #NFL

Securing school groups to perform the National Anthem in minor league sports is nothing new; but when I was first hired by the Admirals as a sales rep, we only hosted a handful of schools each season. I saw a huge untapped market and an opportunity not only to earn commission, but a way to build fans at the grass-roots level as well. Fast forward a few years and the Admirals' "School Spirit Night" program has turned into a revenue generation and fan creation machine. Last season we hosted a school spirit night at 22 out of 25 Friday and Saturday games. This program is a win-win-win. The school can add a fun family event to their school calendar at no-cost, and in many cases, makes a profit through fundraising. The students gets to hang out with their classmates outside of school, and perform in front of thousands of people, creating a lifelong memory. The team fills seats and creates fans for life. I've found the majority of students that get to perform have never been to a hockey game before, and I've been told by teachers it’s the #1 requested event by returning students every fall. This season we aim to host 1-2 school spirit nights at every game; and here in early July we are nearly 50% of the way there! #Fansforlife #Groupsales #Gameops #Memorycreation #Schools #Events #Fevo #Fundraising #Schoolspirit

Many financial planners rely on tax-mitigation strategies to help their clients achieve their financial goals. However, there's a lesser-known estate-planning tool that can help high-net-worth individuals, professional athletes, and business owners meet their financial and philanthropic objectives. With optimized charitable lead annuity trusts, or OCLATs, you can potentially receive two to three times the initial invested sum at the end of its term, making it an attractive option for those looking to grow their wealth while also supporting charitable causes. It's an excellent way to achieve both financial and philanthropic goals simultaneously.
