Ethan Hawke recently shared some valuable advice he got from Denzel Washington about winning awards. He said, "You don’t want an award to improve your status. You want to improve the award’s status." This is a powerful statement that challenges us to think about the true value of awards. It's not about personal recognition, but about elevating the award itself. What do you think about this perspective? Share your thoughts in the comments below. #EthanHawke #DenzelWashington #Awards #Perspective #Value #Success

Have you ever considered, or been recruited for board membership? What do you look for when making a decision? How do you determine alignment? Ron Kirk, former Dallas Mayor and former Texas Secretary of State, has some simple, but good advice. #boardmembership
Black Enterprise on Instagram: "Ron Kirk, Senior of Counsel at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, shared a thought-provoking perspective at Black Men XCEL. Corporate boards and our community spaces have more in common than we think. It's important to ensure that the companies we engage with align with our values and standards. #BMXCEL"

A great video from the We're Right Here campaign; community leaders are ALWAYS in touch with their local communities. Community leaders don't just pound the pavements in the run up to an election. They put the miles in, they put the time in, they know what they're talking about. We're Right Here (and I) believe that people should have the power to shape their places and that communities should have the rights and tools they need to come together and take control of their own futures. Follow this link for a super clear list of actions you can take to support their call for community power 👉 https://lnkd.in/euMAVCPp It includes things like: 📩 A template letter for your local MPs 💬 A conversation guide 👏 A leaflet you can download and print So much really helpful stuff! 📽 https://lnkd.in/eK-25J5H #CommunityPower #KeepitLocal #CommunityLeadership

Being a part of Pisces Wealth Team has been such a fun experience and to see the team make the list for a 2nd year in a row is amazing! Way to go James, Greg, and the rest of the team. ______________________________________________________________________ 2024 Forbes America's Top Wealth Management Teams Best-in-State The 2024 Forbes ranking of America's Top Wealth Management Teams Best-In-State, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. This ranking is based upon the period from 3/31/2022 to 3/31/2023 and was released on 01/09/2024. Advisor teams that are considered must have one advisor with a minimum of seven years of experience, have been in existence as a team for at least one year, have at least 5 team members, and have been nominated by their firm. The algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 10,100 team nominations, 4,100 advisor teams received the award based on thresholds. This ranking is not indicative of an advisor's future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients' experience. Neither Raymond James nor any of its Financial Advisors or RIA firms pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating. Raymond James is not affiliated with Forbes or Shook Research, LLC. Please see https://lnkd.in/gEimwwwh for more info.
Congratulations to the Greg, James and all of the Pisces Wealth Team on their award. Truly a great example of our Core Values at Keating.

For my colleagues attending the PNCWA conference in Boise, Idaho, come see our presentation suite! On Wednesday at 8:30 am, I'll present advances in PFAS water treatment that are beginning to see promise for a total PFAS solution with co-authors Charles Schaefer, Zoom Nguyen, Peter Murphy, and Christopher Higgins. Our latest research highlights a comprehensive treatment train at the pilot scale, featuring membrane filtration to remove PFAS, surface active foam fractionation (SAFF™) to concentrate PFAS from the membrane reject stream, and innovative destructive technologies like plasma, electrochemical oxidation (ECO), and HALT™ for the complete breakdown of PFAS. These advancements aim to reduce the environmental impact of PFAS and our research is showing promise for viable destructive solutions with potential for large-scale water treatment applications. #PFAS, #watertreatment, #nanofiltration, #membranefiltration, #SAFF™, #destructivetechnologies, #completesolutions
