Can't wait to team up with Ohio Women in Government & G2G - Innovative Government Affairs Consulting to educate, empower and network with #women in #Ohio! We will have a great opportunity to keep building this OWIG community of talented professionals in government affairs while learning about what is key---life-saving---when it comes to breast cancer and early detection. Did you know that when caught early, #breastcancer is ~99% survivable! 99%!!! But we are not enabling ALL women to achieve this by using technology that doesn't detect cancer in women with dense breasts. This is unacceptable, especially when the physicians, technology and resources are right under our nose to dramatically decrease late stage detection. Join us October 8 to learn more and become an advocate for change! Self-advocacy, advocacy for your loved ones, and advocacy in the public sphere are ALL needed. Let's do this! #womenshealth #policy

This article reeks of gaslighting by the CIRM board/administrators, and the media promoters of a scientific ideology that needs to be overturned. Worse, it does disservice to the people of California, and the United States. A major shift in the seeking and servicing (providing needed resource allocations) of alternative scientific hypotheses is actually needed, and will likely be happening. Many, in hushed tones, have argued that an upper escholon of the influential scientists and administrators have had an unprecedented privilege to form illusory and artificial scientific consensus at the local, state, and National levels. This heavy handed privileging is what has led to a significant misrepresentation of what the process of science is, and how it should dictate policy. Yamamoto and Melmed have been very effective mouthpieces for the maintenance of such privileging, and for the steering tens of billions of dollars toward flawed science and false claims. Hiltzik has been a highly effective media promoter for the same, and now has a national reputation for a leading a gaslighting campaign for a process gone awry. And we, the people, have both unwittingly or intentionally supported the privatization of the public entities (non-profit Universities) and healthcare corporations), and have enabled their appointed (not earned) leadership in the promotion of a false consensus science, as opposed to competitive science. A swing in the see-saw is needed to restore balance. Even if it comes from a bruined former presidential candidate with good intentions.
