Building a new school or renovating an existing one is an exciting process for an entire community. It’s also an opportunity to transition to #cleanenergy, build with sustainable materials, and design with the health of students and teachers in mind. That’s why I was so excited to join Rep. Jeffrey Roy and school officials at Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School in #FranklinMA earlier this week! The school offers 16 career programs ranging from HVAC to automotive technology, and serves approximately 1,000 students from #FranklinMA, #MedfieldMA, #MedwayMA, #MillisMA, #NorfolkMA, #NorthAttleboroMA, #PlainvilleMA, #SeekonkMA, #SherbornMA, #WalpoleMA, and #WrenthamMA. Tri-County is in the early stages of planning a new school building, and we had a great conversation about how the new facility can be built as sustainably as possible. A special thanks to Peter McPhee and Thomas Chase from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s High-Performance Buildings team for sharing their expertise! Hi Emily we at SolaBlock would love to be a part of the conversation on our Solar Masonry Units being integrated into the building! And our in house architecture and design team can work to ensure an optimal ROI model for the building/campus!
Love this!!
Thank you for joining us in Franklin and for your keen insight. We look forward to working with you to make this project a success.

1moMs.Reichert, what are the main focuses of the new building? Will the current structure be demolished or remodeled? Can you confirm if the district plans on expanding its special educational services, articulation agreements, dual enrollment programs, current vocational program class sizes, sports department, current vocational program selections, or staff quantity? This high school also serves Bellingham, Massachusetts. I appreciate you representing such an impactful and well-integrated district. I am eager to see the district and its community ties prosper in the near future. It has been an incredible experience to see current and former alumni from the district contribute genuine kindness and commitment to bettering the world one day at a time.
