This week in #TransitionwithTim: **All things focused on the big move** 1. Finish setting up all new house things; final thing (I think) is internet. 1a. Moving company is scheduled to arrive Wednesday morning with shipment next Monday. 2. Register the kid into school while looking for some summer events to help intergrate her into the new school system. 3. I will look for some inperson networking events near #Vancouver this month; schedule dependent. - Some moving tips shared with me: 1. Mark everything you DON'T want them to pack with stickys. I chose purple for the kids favorite color. 2. Put everything you DON'T want them to pack into the tub/bathroom. 3. Put everything you DON'T want them to pack into a vehicle. Any other moving tips? Start time at work. Generally office start times are 9am, but is it. By the time most people arrive, grab a coffee, catch up with colleagues etc they generally all come online by 9.30am. So how about in this scenario we call it arrival time is 9am (lateness not an option other than emergencies) and 9-9.30 is catch up time, not just for your team but for managers to connect, have a coffee and gauge their staff as they arrive, then everyone kicks off together. Great for morale, removes any hostility and I guarantee your productivity levels rise well in excess of that 30 minute magic window of 9-9.30 am. https://lnkd.in/eaJvMzk2
