💫 Expert talk - Theory of Change in Design Bringing a wealth of expertise in Theory of Change and design, Luca Simeone is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University and has carried out research, teaching and consulting activities in various universities (Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Milan Polytechnic, Malmö University, UAL), mostly exploring the managerial, strategic, and organizational aspects of design. Theory of Change - a method born in the mid-1990s within the context of philanthropic and development programs - is often used to systematically map the critical factors (for example, psychological, social, economic, cultural processes) by which change comes about and to make sure that social interventions achieve the highest impact. In this lecture, we will look into key aspects of Theory of Change and provide some actionable advice on how Theory of Change can be incorporated within design processes.
