Another fantastic experience at the #QSREvolution Conference in Atlanta! Connecting with clients, partners, and industry friends felt like a family reunion rather than a trade show. Among the insightful topics discussed, loyalty stood out for me. Here are 10 key takeaways that resonated: 1 - Context and relevance boost loyalty activation rates 2 - Loyalty is a derivative of customer experience 3 - Reward promptly, avoid deferring gratification 4 - Loyalty is a two-way street (customer and brand) 5 - Loyalty focuses on retention, not acquisition 6 - Effective loyalty programs can drive customer behavior 7 - Personalization is key, backed by customer data 8 - Loyalty isn't just discounts; offer unique experiences (access to secret menu items, exclusive swag, special menu tastings/events) 9 - Avoid over-discounting, that is not what your loyal customers really want 10 - Loyalty programs should make customers feel valued, understood, and save them time While these points may not be groundbreaking, building effective loyalty programs remains a challenge for many brands.
