It's Early Childhood Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to shed light on the direct connection between maternal mental health and children's mental health. Research shows that when maternal mental health suffers, there is a generational impact felt by the children. Congress cannot ignore this issue. Funding maternal mental health programs and improving access to paid family leave, postpartum medicare coverage, and other services proven to support maternal health is CRITICAL to help our nation's mothers and families as a whole.
