Did you know how concrete spalling happened when concrete exposed to fire? Concrete letterly explodes due to water vapor condensed behind concrete layers. When condensed water vapor reach a certain pressure point then BOOOOM! concrete spalling happens. Watch the video.

look who just started pouring concrete in a 7000 cubic meter foundation! pouring concrete in days with temperature over 45C° is not easy. concrete temperature upon arrival on site is kept consistent at 33C° which is enough to have crack free concrete. Not forgetting to mention that the concrete is being cured after pouring properly. #newcapital #newadministrativeCapital

📌 What is free fall limit of concrete? 🔷 The free fall limit of concrete refers to the maximum height from which concrete can be dropped into a formwork without segregation or excessive impact that might compromise its integrity. 🔷 According to common industry standards and guidelines, the generally accepted free fall limit for concrete is around 1.5 meters (approximately 5 feet). 🔷 Exceeding this height can lead to issues such as Segregation For placements exceeding this limit, methods like tremie pipes should be employed to ensure the concrete is placed properly without excessive free fall. #construction #concrete #freefall

Concrete segregation is the separation of the coarse and fine aggregates in concrete. This can happen during pouring if the concrete is not mixed properly or if the mixing trucks are delayed. When concrete segregation occurs, the concrete can become weak and may not be able to support the loads it was designed to carry. There are a number of things that can be done to prevent concrete segregation, including: ➊ Using a proper mixing procedure. ➋ Ensuring that the mixing trucks are on time. ➌ Adding admixtures to the concrete. ➍ Using a vibrator to consolidate the concrete. If concrete segregation does occur, it is important to take steps to correct the problem. This may involve removing the segregated concrete and replacing it with new concrete. #pouringconcrete #mixingconcrete #concreteadditives #concretevibrators #constructiondelays #defectprevention #concreteintegrity

Curing concrete, as time-consuming as it seems, is a critical part of ensuring the concrete has maximum durability. It can be quite a simple job, and does not have to be messy. Blankets like CONQOR TCBs are very useful, because they are simply placed on the slab, secured for curing, and lifted off and stored until next use. Thermal Curing Blankets reduce the risk of shrinkage cracking in hot and windy conditions. Have a look at the information about CONQOR TCBs! https://bit.ly/49HxwDb
