Last Monday, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a hackathon within my organization, where we gamified our efforts to address real challenges our organization faces, particularly Monash University's Admissions processes. Our focus was clear: "How might we optimize the application process by reducing duplication, improving data accuracy, simplifying application procedures, and streamlining assessments, ultimately saving time and increasing the number of applications?" During the hackathon, our team independently and objectively analyzed the problem we set out to solve. We conducted in-depth research and needs analysis, identifying and assessing the challenges within our organization's admissions processes. We then developed a solution tailored to address our organization's specific business and operational issues, all while keeping our audience, the Admissions team, and prospective students at the core of our process. Our ideas and proposed solutions were presented to a distinguished panel, including the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Director of Admissions, and the Director of Planning and Engagement. I'm thrilled our team's idea and solution received the Audience's Choice Award. It's a true honour to be recognized by my teammates for our innovative and creative approach to solving this important challenge. It's a testament to the dedication and hard work put in by our team, and I'm grateful to have been a part of such a successful and impactful endeavour. #Hackathon #Innovation #ProblemSolving
