I first got my hands on some orbital equipment as a student of the Welding Engineering Program at Ferris State about 12 years ago. This fantastic demonstration, courtesy of @Bappindustrial, shows the speed and ease of VersaDrive's modular drilling and tapping tools. Here a 10.5mm hole is drilled through steel bar about 15mm thick and then tapped with an M12 tap in 1minute 4seconds including talking and lubricant application (video clipped a few seconds to meet social platform requirements) Using high torque impact wrenches with the VersaDrive system speeds up the drilling and tapping process by up to 15x whilst reducing the kickback traditionally experienced in these operations. This improves safety and reduces operator injury and fatigue, helping to improve productivity and significantly reduce cost per hole.
