Last week, I had the privilege of participating in the Women in Shared Services and Outsourcing Executive Roundtable alongside Vicki Phelan. We delved into the thought-provoking insights from the 2023 KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit Report: ➡️ 91% of executive women are experiencing a significant increase in workplace stress since the pandemic. ➡️ 71% of executive women believe that organizations should do more to support their leaders. During the roundtable, we discussed actionable steps to address these challenges, such as prioritizing self-care, setting boundaries, adopting healthy habits, fostering connections, and seeking support. As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month in May, it is a great reminder to prioritize and nurture ourselves and each other amidst our busy schedules. For me, scheduling small breaks in my day and finding time to connect with my friends and family are some of my non-negotiables when it comes to managing my stress levels. What are some helpful self-care habits you have added to your routine? #WomenInLeadership #MentalHealthAwareness #SelfCare #WorkLifeBalance

Awesome video from Lauren Sayer, talking about masking and Neurodivergence in the Workplace. "We still have so far to go with accepting everybody, be it Neurodivergent, be it mental health, be it any differences in the workplace. But the only way we are going to be able to start to do it is be brave, and get the world to start changing with us instead of us always changing for the world." https://lnkd.in/ev9CkCFf #neurodivergence #neurodiversity #disability #masking #internalisedableism #ableism #workplaceinclusion

Bring the applause from the stage to your office! | Leadership and Well-being coach / mentor | Workplace Mental Health Advocate | Mindfulness Instructor | Live Event Ticketing Industry Expert
In the work I do I see the impact that previous trauma has on the culture and productivity of an organization. Yes, it is a leaders responsibility to care about and understand the individuals that work for them. A one-size-fits-most approach to leadership hasn’t worked in decades. However, by learning about trauma informed practices and incorporating them into all you do, you lessen the chance of causing unintentional damage to a team member and you start creating an environment of safety.

Today is #worldmentalhealth awareness day. In today’s fast-paced, demanding world, women leaders are constantly juggling multiple roles – from managing personal lives and families to leading teams and driving innovation. Whilst the path to leadership can be incredibly rewarding, it also presents a set of challenges when it comes to mental health. Society often expects women in leadership to be unwavering pillars of strength. The immense pressure to conform to traditional leadership expectations in a predominantly male-oriented environment can force us to suppress our true selves. In my opinion, a woman’s strength lies in her ability to feel emotions deeply, process them effectively, collaborate and connect with others, provide support and lead with empathy. We don’t have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. By balancing our strength with vulnerability, we can lead with authenticity, inspire others, and prioritize our mental well-being. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a courageous step towards personal and professional growth. Papilio Services Limited

To the Leaders Afraid of Change, This is For You You should be nervous, and allow yourself to feel that for a bit. Reflect back on your past behaviors. You have a decision to make. Change is inevitable. And it’s going to come for you and your organization whether you’re ready or not. Leaders who refuse to support their teams, disregard mental health, or let discrimination thrive under their watch—you’re playing a losing game. I’ve seen firsthand how workplaces crumble when they fail to evolve. The only question is: Will you be a leader who rises with the tide, or one who gets left behind? I know which side I’m on. #Leadership #WorkplaceTransformation #MentalHealthAwareness #Discrimination #Ro2pto #ItHappenedToMe
