I had an intriguing experience last night with a cold call I received. The caller tried to sell me leads but missed the mark by talking at length without engaging me. After 80 seconds of monologue I had to stop her. I let her know that it's essential in sales to prioritize the prospect, their needs, and how you can provide value. I then told her if she could figure out how to do that and make it relevant to me, to call me back at a later time and try again. I doubt she'll call back. Reflecting on this incident as a business owner who hires, trains, and manages a sales team, it's astonishing how some organizations neglect this fundamental principle. While they may secure customers, the quality of those signups is questionable. Successful sales require an approach centered around the prospect—80% focusing on their needs, and only 20% on yourself and your offering. Operating otherwise risks alienating potential clients and missing out on valuable opportunities. This is a good lesson to remember that effective sales are built on asking good questions, understanding your prospects needs, and providing a valuable solution to them. #sales #salestraining #salescoaching

Our team has had massive success this year. We served more families and interns during peak season than ever before 🚗 We've helped clients become more efficient with their car shipping process, and that has led to increased survey scores for their accounts 📈 We've even picked up special projects along the way this year. So to reward them I rolled the red carpet out at my house and hosted an end of summer pool party 🏊♂️ Jalie Swanson, Anita Smith, and Paden Ramey all came to relax, float, and eat chicken wings 🍗 (not pictured bc we did a good job of making them disappear before I thought of taking a pic lol). This Mark Cuban quote popped up on my memories from 8 years ago, and it still resonates with me today. As a business owner and leader, I spend 90% of my waking time striving towards ARM's company goals.
