One main point of discussion at Coffee Club yesterday (other than talking about Lounge by the Sea 2024 that took place last week) was how often "should" you meet with a client? 💡TOP TIP💡 Don't be afraid to ask for a meeting if you need it (e.g. you are not getting answers to questions). Frequency of regular scheduled meetings is a decision to be made on a client-by-client basis. For some clients weekly will work best, others may answer all your questions quickly via email or WhatsApp and therefore the need for meetings is reduced. Trust yourself that you know what may work best. You can always change it as you go. One of the key benefits of being part of a VA tribe is what you learn from each other. For instance, yesterday we learned: 👉 Sometimes a very high percentage of clients can come via one source you built a relationship with as a result of networking 👉 When someone asks if we know an expert in x,y,z and we don't, we'll often have people we can point you to who may know! 👉 We are all human. We all give ourselves a hard time if we mess up, but we all mess up from time to time. The fact that we care about it is what matters. Take me back to #aime2024 … I am having withdrawals, so I am wearing my lanyard at home! Again - a massive thanks to you and your team Silke Calder. With all the fun and networking that AIME provides, they also provide 2 days worth of back to back meetings… and I mean BACK TO BACK meetings! I was lucky enough to have 30 meetings over the 2-days. The opportunities, business deals, relationships and knowledge that is shared in these meetings are invaluable. There was often a discussion of - “how do you get through all of these meetings?”. I approach it with the mindset of “Meetings With a Purpose”. Every single meeting, I had a purpose. - How can we work together? - How can your business/product support my clients and their conferences? - How can my business support your business? Just to name a few. Why don’t you use this mindset for every meeting you have? Whether it is internally with your staff/colleagues, client, supplier or prospective business. Make sure you have MEETINGS WITH A PURPOSE. #jghevents
