8 days has passed, and I've lost 12 hours to my supposed learning schedule but consistency isn't all about doing something everyday but its definition can still be found in picking yourself up and getting back to what you're supposed to do. After listening to Ogochukwu Obiajulu Onyema about how people are consistent with inconsistency than being consistent, it hit me. The goal is to dedicate at least 90 minutes for 90 days (as suggested by Bruno Nwogu ) into learning my Motion Design skill, and I'll be intentionally seeking to achieve that. I didn’t have the privileges that many take for granted—no easy access to design schools, mentors, or the latest technology. But what I did have was a relentless passion for creativity and an unshakeable determination to succeed. My journey wasn’t easy. I had to teach myself the skills I needed, often using outdated tools and piecing together knowledge from whatever resources I could find. But every obstacle was a lesson, and every setback was fuel for my determination to push forward. Today, I am proud to say that I’ve turned those struggles into strengths. My background has given me a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for every opportunity I’ve earned. It’s proof that your starting point doesn’t define your destination. If I had to start all over again… (My 2024 design growth strategy) 1. Learn the basics of design → Typography, whitespace, color psychology, layout. 2. Find your tribe → Join design communities, and network with designers within and outside your field. 3. Learn how to sell → Start by selling yourself, and what you can do. 4. Don’t stop learning → Read books, attend workshops and take courses. 5. Show your work → It can be scary but you need to show yourself for people to know you. Follow these simple steps for the next 6 months. Watch your career bloom.
