Delighted to share our latest research - the Ai Jobs Barometer report, which reveals #AI’s impact on job skills, wages, hiring, productivity, and much more. The research analysed half a billion job ads in 15 countries to learn how AI is transforming the world of work and found a number of key themes including: 📈 AI-exposed sectors see significant productivity gains: 4.8x greater labour productivity growth in sectors more exposed to AI. ↗ Jobs that demand AI skills are increasing: Number of jobs that demand specialist AI skills (like deep learning) have grown 7x since 2012 (far outpacing growth in all jobs which have risen only 2x since 2012). 💸 Jobs that require AI skills are seeing significant wage premiums: within occupations, average salaries of AI job postings are up to 25% higher if they require AI skills. ⏩ Skills needs are changing rapidly: Skills sought by employers are changing at a 25% higher rate in occupations most exposed to AI, while there are sharp declines in demand for some AI-replaceable skills. #AI #SWP #FutureOfWork #PwC

https://lnkd.in/evdg_Kzk At the #AIforGood Summit in Geneva I attended a lunch with #PwC. They provided an overview of the impact of #AI on the job market. Interestingly, they did this by studying job ads (in predominantly developed countries). Some highlights? AI jobs are growing more than 2X as fast as other jobs. (Sure, but aren't they just hiring people to write them out of their jobs ?) AI penetration is highest in white-collar sectors AI jobs see a 25% pay bump compared to other jobs. #Singapore, #Denmark rank at the top of being #AI ready, at least in terms of job hiring. Of course the study is already a outdated, but it's instructive (colleges should be listening) to look at the job's market and make sure there's an alignment between the skills needed and the skills being taught.
