You have a personal brand, whether you like it or not. It's how other stakeholders you work with perceive you. It's your track record in and out of where you work. And more importantly... It's the words associated with you. Eg. are you always late to meetings? Are you detail orientated in campaigns? Are you an excellent communicator? These are things that people associate with you. These words make up your brand. So when someone asks: "We're hiring for a PMM who's punctual, detail orientated, and extremely great communicator. Know someone?" your name is top of the list. You have more control over how you're perceived than you think. Future-proof yourself by working on your personal brand. 🤝

Please stop telling Social Media professionals their job isn't hard. You are discrediting the work of a lot of individuals. Social media is more than just posting. It takes strategy, trial and error, being able to adapt constantly to new social media changes, and a special level of creativity. (There is a lot more but, I don't want to be here all day) Social media professionals are passionate about Social Media Management/Marketing, community and being a creative. Don’t be one of those people who discredits someone’s passion or career. The amazing social media campaigns and brands you see daily killing it on socials don’t create themselves. It’s months of work, failures, reworking strategies, moving deadlines around, content creation, collaborating with other departments, community & crisis management, late nights, etc. We are marketing professionals and should be seen as such. Also, if it was so easy everyone would do it.

Documenting the Journey - Ep 14: Hustle (You don't always need a tool to solve your problems) Sometimes the best way to get shit done isn’t through a tool - it’s pure hard work and team collaboration. As simple as that sounds, it’s a reminder worth revisiting as a gut check every now and then. This team came together and pushed out a HUGE new feature this week, proving once again that being in-office isn’t optional at this stage—it’s essential. There’s no way we would have pulled this off in time without real-time collaboration in the final stretch. The best part?
