If you work in the Casino Industry or even in Marketing for Hotels or Resorts, I recommend the new CNN Docu-Series, "Vegas. The Story of Sin City".
It tells the history of Las Vegas and how it became a Gambling Mecca and playground for the world.
Starting in 1930, the series interviews many renowned performers, both from the past and present, as well as the visionaries who helped to shape not only the cityscape, but the whole industry, into what it is today.
The detail spent in explaining the myriad of times the city has re-invented itself and the way it did so is fascinating. From it's first iteration with Organized Crime, then Billionaire Investors, and currently into the Corporate Businesses they are mostly today. It touches on so many aspects of the Gambling Enterprises... from marketing, to entertainment, social economic impacts, and much more.
I considered myself to have at least a fair amount of knowledge of the industry and it's beginnings, but have found out there is so much more to learn and know.
