Happy #NationalInternDay 🎉 Join us as we shine a light on Gabby Logan, our amazing intern! 🌟
She is a #communications major at the University of Louisville. 🎓 She's got her sights set on a career in marketing after graduation, and she dreams of traveling abroad! When Gabby's not mastering the art of communication, you can find her jamming out at a concert or exploring the city.
We're thrilled to have Gabby as a part of the SMARI team, and we're excited to watch her grow!
How is your team celebrating its interns today? Let us know in the comments! 💬⬇️

Fond memories triggered by all these National Intern Day posts!
Looking back on my intern days (over 20 years ago, eek), I am so grateful for the experiences I had with two different companies/organizations, both still going strong today.
👏 Shout out to the folks at the Wisconsin Innovation Service Center at UWW for giving students amazing, real-world experiences in research, product development and go-to-market strategy!
👏 And another shout out to Palmer Hamilton (formerly Palmer Synder Furniture) for enabling me all those years ago to digitize their contract records, and create a database with renewal alerts - all before I even knew what a CRM system was! To see how much the company has changed in 20 years is a great example of adaptation and strategy at work!
Each of those experiences helped me build a foundation for skills I still use today and gave me exposure to the types of work I love.
And when I had interns on my team, those experiences shaped my style of leadership - to give them real, challenging projects (and feedback), to provide exposure to other professionals and leaders, and to give as much business context for what they were doing as possible. And most importantly - to give them room to share ideas and to actually listen to them!
Get after it interns, you'll do great things!
From pricing strategy to 'Bend and Snap' churros, this internship has it all.
Analytical economics major Sofia Menyalkin '25 let us tag along for an evening in her life as a management intern with Prescott Park Arts Festival in Portsmouth, NH! 🎭
💬 Read Sofia's take on her internship experience...
I'm helping run the show at a nonprofit arts festival this summer!
We're all about making music and arts more inclusive and accessible to the general public.
My main job: directing the whole team at The Prop, which serves all kinds of food to festival patrons.
It's definitely been a crash course in management - keeping everyone on track, handling the rush of orders, and making sure our customers leave happy.
And the Prop isn't just a food stand - it's the main revenue driver for Prescott Park Arts Festival. Talk about real-world impact!
My UNH classes definitely prepared me for this mix of Excel spreadsheets and people:
🏷️ Creating pricing strategies (thanks, Econ 401!)
🧾 Analyzing sales data
👆Managing day-to-day operations
💕 Providing great customer service!
I love the autonomy. I have a lot of control over how we do things!
And seeing how that plays out sales-wise has been really interesting.
And yes, I got to invent the "Bend and Snap" churro sticks for Legally Blonde! Who said economics majors can't be creative? 🎬
I've also learned a lot about juggling priorities – you need both people skills and business background for a job like this.
But my biggest takeaway has been that I love the cause. This internship has shown me I can blend analytics with purpose-driven work.
Living in Portsmouth for the summer has been amazing. I'm discovering a whole new side of the Seacoast.
The festival is already looking for their next intern, so let me plug them real quick.
If you want something that's close to campus, fun, AND great experience, you should reach out!
You'll gain real-world experience while supporting local arts. What could be better?
Honestly, I never expected to love working at a nonprofit arts festival this much.
But between the analytics, the creativity, and the awesome community impact, I'm having a blast.

Today marks 6 months since Grace Meyer joined The Sweeney Group as our Digital Marketing Specialist! I am thrilled and grateful to have Grace at my side!
Of course, I love that Grace is a Shaker Heights High School graduate! Actually, Grace and Allie's paths crossed there as classmates.
Now also a graduate of Elon University, Grace brings her degree in Strategic Communications with a minor in Psychology to the world of real estate. Make no mistake, those two specialties are essential to success for our clients. In fact, that pretty much sums up a day in the life of a real estate team!
Grace also brings experience executing a wide range of digital marketing tactics through internships during and after her time at Elon. I'm sure you've noticed an incredible difference in our social media since Grace took charge! Our brand, our reach, our everything is elevated farther than I could have hoped for in only 6 months. And, Grace is doing much more than just that, especially to support our listing clients to ensure we present their home in the best light in a multi-channel campaign.
THANK YOU, GRACE - for all you do now and what I imagine you will be doing in the years ahead! You might not have envisioned yourself in real estate yet here you are and immediately successful.
