Dear my friends The China-Europe freight train operated smoothly in the 50th week, with trans-shipment well maintained at all ports. Alashankou and Khorgos took about 5-7 days; that at Manzhouli was about 6-12 days; for Erenhot is about 6-15 days. Overall, the transit time of the ChinaEurope (Asia) trains is under control, and no official delay information has been noted so far. In Week 50,the T/T from domestic stations to Mala, Lodz is about 12-14 days, and to Duisburg is about 20 days. In the Russian direction, most destinations can be reached within 20 days——it took about 18-20 days for trains to travel from domestic stations to Elektrougli;13-15 days to Selyadino. In addition, the efficiency of freight trains on other routes also remains high: it takes 12-13 days to arrive in Minsk from Chengdu, and 10 days to arrive in Almaty from Zhengzhou.13 days to arrive in Minsk from Chengdu, and 10 days to arrive in Almaty from Zhengzhou. 🚨 China-Europe Rail Transport Update The rapid growth in China-Europe rail freight has led to a shortage of flatcars and extended transshipment times. Starting in May, repairs on the Dostyk section in Kazakhstan will slow down traffic, causing transshipment delays at Alashankou by approximately 7-15 days. Delays are also expected at Khorgos due to the surge in rail freight volumes and the shortage of flatcars. Additionally, Malaszewicze is experiencing significant congestion, with many drivers waiting in line for pickups, causing delays in container operations. Also, the increase in inspections in Poland, the Netherlands, and Hungary is further exacerbating the delays. In particular, Hungary's introduction of X-ray inspections is causing slower processing times, worsening the situation. 📢 China-Europe Freight Train Operation in August August is the traditional peak season for container transportation. Despite the steady growth in volume and number, transportation efficiency continues to improve. The average handling time at ports such as Alashankou, Khorgos, and Manzhouli stabled at 5-10 days, while that at Erlianhot is generally 7-12 days. Overall, the fastest record from Xi'an to Malaszewicze is 14 days, while the average time from Chengdu and Chongqing to Malaszewicze is 18-20 days. It takes 20-25 days from the domestic stations to Duisburg and Hamburg. The T/T of the full-time scheduled train is about 30% shorter than that of the ordinary one. The time to Milan-Italy is the longest, with the overall T/T for Chengdu and Xi'an-Milan exceeding 35 days. According to the data from Cargo Talk, much of the delay took place in the transshipment at Malaszewicze. Shippers may consider transshipping through Duisburg or Hamburg, as upgrading the rail line will have a limited impact on these areas. Transportation time in the direction of the Russian line has not fluctuated significantly. It takes only 18 days from Zengcheng, Guangdong to Moscow, about 22 days from Chengdu to Moscow, and about 20 days from Chongqing to Minsk. The Central Asia-bound train is running well, with Xi'an to Almaty taking about 9 days. However, the T/T from Xi'an to Baku by train is more than 20 days, and the efficiency of the reloading process at the port of Aktau needs to be further improved. #China #Europe #Railway #Freight #Transportation #Shippingsolutions

ASTANA — The modal shift from congested ocean trades to China-Europe rail freight is creating lengthy delays at key China-Kazakhstan train transfer points, leading to longer transit times and fast-rising rate levels. Forwarders estimate China-Europe rail volume increased by more than 50% year over year in the first quarter with strong demand for less-than-containerload freight. “The volume increase on rail requires more time for reloading at the China-Kazakhstan border and therefore longer transit time,” Thomas Kowitzki, vice president and global head of China rail at DHL Global Forwarding, told the Journal of Commerce. All cargo entering Kazakhstan must be transferred to new trains because rail tracks in Central Asia have a different gauge than those in China. #China #Europe #railnetwork #carrier #containershipping #transitime #capacity #loadingport #seaport #globallogistics #challenges #oceanshipping #oceanfreight #FreightForwarding #metaworlwide #worldtopmeta 🎯Join us on Facebook for exclusive industry insights, updates, and opportunities! ➡ https://lnkd.in/g8J443QV 🍂 Read the full article on our website ⤵ https://lnkd.in/g_iJn7fn

This week, the operation of the China Europe freight train faces some challenges, affecting the overall efficiency and transit time in the European direction. The railway near Dostyk is undergoing maintenance, resulting in a significant slowdown in the speed. After the leaving at Alashankou and Khorgos , the trains encountered serious shortage of chassis in Dostyk and Altynkol, and the reloading is further extended, with an average record of 7-15 days. Based on the current situation of Brest and Malaszewicze, it is estimated that transshipment at the border ports of Belarus and Poland takes about 3-5 days. In addition, the number of arriving trains at Neuss and Hamburg in Germany continues to increase, and the issuance of ATB documents is correspondingly delayed, which has an impact on delivery after carriage. According to statistics from Cargo Talk, in the European direction, the Xi'an-Duisburg Express takes 15 days, the Chongqing-Duisburg/Hamburg takes 22-24 days, and the Zhengzhou-Mala takes 19 days in total. For the Russian-bound service, 13 days from Chengdu to Moscow, 23 days from Shijiazhuang to St. Petersburg, and 15 days from Guangzhou (Zengcheng) to Moscow. According to a notice from the Xi'an platform, some train departures in May were delayed due to congestion at the bordering ports.
