What is the importance of a personalised sales pitch? A very common question which gets tossed around a lot. But somehow a lot of people reply "I do it to outshine competitors who rely on generic messages or emails." Very rarely do I get to hear someone say "I do it to increase the credibility and establish a bond on a personal level with the prospect." In my opinion, the focus should be on solving an existing problem for your prospect rather than merely meeting your sales targets. It is imperative to understand the pain points of your prospect before you go ahead and pitch something. Not everyone will find your standard product/service pitch relevant and so the approach of presenting a generic pitch FAILS big time.
