Undertaking the Climate Governance for Australia Directors course , week 4/5, a great session thanks to an engaged group and a wonderful facilitator, thanks Dr Tracey Dodd Australian Institute of Company Directors This week was the Strategy and Leadership module. We have discussed throughout this course, the implications of climate change which are complex and evolving. For most organisations, climate change is a foreseeable, and in many cases material, financial risk and opportunity. I had the honour of giving a keynote speech at the UN Conference to Combat Desertification back in December for COP16 which was held in Riyadh. I shared with the audience how a culture of accountability is something that cannot be neglected if we are to move the needle on some of the world’s most pressing issues- including climate change.
