You probably don’t want to revolutionize the quantum industry. But just in case you do, I’m looking for a few unassuming geniuses for roles that are only somewhat likely to redefine technology as we know it—in Spain and the Netherlands, no less. We need a Quantum Research and Development Engineer, Senior Quantum Design Engineer, Fabrication Engineer, Quantum Measurements Engineer, Experimental Quantum Engineer, and a Quantum Production Technician. Just your typical, everyday quantum wizards. Imagine spending your days not just pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, but completely obliterating them. But hey, if you prefer the mundane, there are plenty of other jobs out there that involve pushing paper and attending endless meetings about font choices. We're not looking for just anyone. We need people who understand that 'quantum' isn't just a cool word to throw around but a real commitment to being confused at a higher level and about more important things. What will your day look like? Decoding the universe’s secrets before lunch, revolutionizing technology in the afternoon, and maybe, just maybe, changing the world by dinner. If you think you can fit into a team that barely fits into the conventional dimensions of physics, then we need to talk. Yes, the fabric of reality is complex, but your decision to apply doesn’t have to be. Not ready to make history? That's fine; history isn't for everyone. But if you are, send me a message. Let’s make the universe sit up and take notice. #QuantumComputing #TechJobs #HiringNow #Innovation #EngineeringJobs #QuantumTechnology #CareerOpportunities #SpainJobs #NetherlandsJobs #ExperimentalPhysics #TechTalent

❓ Šejla, what is your role at HLL? ❗"I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the System Integration Group, tasked with combining various components — such as sensors, electronics, and mechanics— into a fully operational detector system. My work primarily focuses on the pnCCD sensors produced at HLL and encompasses three main areas. The first area involves the construction and qualification of the setup for testing prototype pnCCD sensors. This step is vital for understanding the behavior of the produced sensors, enabling us to identify the optimal operational parameters and discover areas for future improvement to enhance performance. The second area of my work pertains to the FSP project (The Fast Small Pixel Camera - The Next Generation), a compact camera that utilizes pnCCD sensors and is specifically designed for X-ray microscopy. My role involves qualifying the system for operational use. In addition, I am engaged in the analysis of the data collected by our detectors. This involves utilizing existing algorithms and developing new ones necessary for the accurate analysis of the data." Have a nice Girls´Day today! #hll #girlsday #mpg

📢 The new lab from CEA is recruiting a highly motivated candidate to face the challenges of the next battery generations. ❔ Topics: Otimization of Li metal/electrolyte for the next generation of all-solid-state battery ❔ Profile: engineer with lab skills or PhD. 🌍 Located near Bordeaux in France (Pessac 33600) 📅 Starting at the end of 2024 for 12 months 📋 "CEA Tech Nouvelle-Aquitaine, created in 2013, set up a new laboratory, since more than two years, focused on both the development of materials and the high throughput screening to accelerate the discovery of materials for the next generations of Li-ion batteries. For that, the CEA Tech Nouvelle-Aquitaine acquires different vacuum deposition equipment (sputtering, evaporation, atomic layer deposition) integrated in glovebox and different automated characterization techniques (SEM-EDX, profilometer, XRD, LIBS and confocal microscope later). The Li metal/electrolyte interface constitutes one of the main challenges to overcome for the next generation of all-solid-state battery. The reactions of decompositions at the interface associated to uneven plating/stripping of Li ions lead to quick cell failure. One of the avenue for stabilizing it is to use a protective layer, which must feature numerous physical-chemical properties. In this context, this internal CEA project aims at setting up a combinatorial synthesis methodology associated to high throughput characterizations in order to accelerate the discovery of new protective layers at the Li metal/electrolyte interface. We are seeking for an outstanding applicant who will be in charge of setting up the whole methodology, from the synthesis to the physical-chemical-electrochemical characterizations of the materials. She/he will have at her disposal a new state-of-the-art infrastructures. She/he will collaborate with other CEA labs located at LITEN (Grenoble, France).” ➡ Contact details in the attached file

🎉 Celebrating Pi Day at Divergent Engineering🎉 Today, we celebrate more than just a mathematical constant; we celebrate the intricate connections between mathematics and electrical engineering that shape our world every day. Let’s reflect on the significance of π in our field, let's take a moment to appreciate its role in powering innovation, enabling us to design circuits, analyse signals, and engineer solutions that drive technological progress. Two applications of Pi: Fourier Transforms: Fourier analysis is fundamental in signal processing and communication systems. The Fourier transform expresses a function in terms of sine and cosine functions of different frequencies. The constant π often appears in the equations governing Fourier series and transforms. Waveform Analysis: Pi appears in many mathematical equations that describe periodic waveforms, such as sine waves. These waveforms are fundamental in electrical engineering, particularly in the analysis of alternating current (AC) circuits, reactance, signal processing, and communication systems. To all the engineers, researchers, and enthusiasts who bring passion and expertise, Happy Pi Day! #PiDay #ElectricalEngineering #Innovation #STEM

What drives and fascinates our researchers about their work at SAL? 💡 For Herbert Hackl, Senior Scientist for Coexistence & Electromagnetic Compatibility, his fascination with research comes from pushing the boundaries of what is possible and what is doable. 🗨 "At SAL, we start working where others stop," Herbert shares. "As a researcher, my job is to try things that no one has done before and to answer questions that no one has an answer to. In my field, it's quite normal that no one knows exactly how or why something works, that there are no clear answers or that the 'best' solutions are unknown. This is exactly what is exciting about research for me." Want to know more? 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘅 We all see the world around us, but applied physicists look at things differently. For them, everyday phenomena can become challenges, fascinating puzzles to solve and to analyze. But they don't stop there. They take their understanding of these phenomena and use it to develop new technologies, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Applied Physicists at Sioux are responsible for the core technologies of our products. Although the emphasis will often be on the early phases of a project, they are involved in the entire product creation process from the ideation of concept solutions and technology proof to industrialization. Applied physicists work on the development of optical systems, but also contribute to other challenges such as electron and x-ray physics, contamination, (ultra-)high vacuum and thermal design. Applying their broad physical knowhow and creativity to realize innovative solutions for the high-tech industry. Curious how our applied physicists translate their knowledge into cutting-edge technology? Take a peek at the link below! ------ #siouxtechnologies #appliedphysics #webringhightechtolife #workintech
