Had a very successful Producer tell me once: "Your process and attitude towards 'selling' will attract people who are best suited for that style." That's why it's so important to just be yourself. We see Producers make this mistake all the time... Trying to "sell" in a way that isn't congruent with their personailty. If you're easy going and laid back, sell easy going and laid back... If you're super analytical and technical, sell analytical and technical... If you're super aggressive and straightforward, sell super aggressive and straightforward. You don't want to attract people who aren't a good fit for you. So just be yourself.

thats why I have a mix of you guys, Micah Salas, 🎙️Charles Specht, CIC, CDA, Daryl Henry, because I sell to small businesses, focus on winning the insurance upfront through blunt discussion and inspiring trust in the way I work, how I answer the phone, the personal attention I give each quote and the way my agency operates. Sometimes through BOR, sometimes through moving and quoting, sometimes through starting completely over, freshening the palette on the complete insurance program, not redoing or even discussing anyone elses work and just building exactly what we want. But it starts at a commitment to work with me, sometimes the policies are $500, sometimes they're $100,000, its the same process and discussion. I feel like I barely work because I follow the same rinse wash and repeat cycles with the same underwriters that understand how I work, when I ask for favors, when I stay in my lane, the only thing that changes is the conversation and the people involved. I spent so many years trying to be someone else, and I hated it, I hated myself, I hated my work and everything around me suffered, including my family, friends, work, relationships.
