Not 100% accurate, but enough to definitely show a good break down. Also, LEO’s have the duty to leave their assigned location if there’s an incident near them that requires immediate backup. Therefore, client is now paying someone 2-3 times as much…and they’re not even there any more. I think the background experience is important. Having knowledge/experience of security with a prior law enforcement background…that warrants the higher pay. Then you add, Military, management, etc experiences on top of that. Pay people their worth and they’ll never let you down.

You will not believe the shork I got when I saw her screaming at him for doing his job. "Security guards should be respected." Let's show some appreciation for the essential role security guards play in our daily lives. They diligently protect our homes, workplaces, and communities, often working long hours under challenging conditions. Their vigilance ensures our safety and peace of mind. Next time you see a security guard, take a moment to acknowledge their dedication and hard work. A simple "thank you" goes a long way in recognizing their contributions to our safety and security. Let's all strive to give every security guard the respect they rightfully deserve. At Integrated Services Limited, Our Security Guards are Zealous and reliable. This cannot be Tylaoverlooked. The best guards of the month are rewarded with incentive and Award. 🛡️ #SecurityGuards #Respect #TYLA #Always_On_Guard

Emergency Response/Incident Management: When you hear this, you probably think of high-intensity efforts like police responses, first aid scenarios, and severe weather movements. But have you ever thought about how this might translate to a "desk job" or a non-emergency role? Those with experience in emergency response and incident management are typically calm, level-headed, and able to operate and lead through a variety of situations. You can throw just about anything at them and they'll be able to tackle it with a precision and thoroughness that others may not have. Hiring veterans, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, etc. can provide you and your team with so many benefits. They are used to operating in high-intensity environments while remaining composed, detailed, and motivated to keep driving forward and leading others in the same way. What other traits have you noticed in veterans and first responders that elevate them as candidates and employees? #hiringveterans #firstresponders #careersuccess

Even after 20 years in the background-checking industry, it never ceases to amaze me how frequently people falsify their backgrounds—it's just human nature. However, what is truly astonishing is that security-conscious organisations such as the police, continue to overlook basic vetting processes. In an era where reputable, accredited firms like Verifile Limited are readily available, it's perplexing that such failures persist. This recent case underscores this issue: Chief Constable Nick Adderley of Northamptonshire Police was dismissed for gross misconduct after lying about his naval career, falsely claiming his never-earned ranks and achievements. This failure in vetting has severely impacted public trust and highlights the urgent need for thorough and reliable background checks. Furthermore, a 2023 review by His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS), which independently assesses police forces and policing, revealed that hundreds of UK police officers who should never have passed their background checks were recruited, exposing a systemic issue within the vetting process. This lack of proper vetting compromises public safety and erodes trust in our institutions. This incident resonates deeply with me, as a significant lapse by a global security firm inspired the founding of Verifile in 2004. At Verifile, we are proud that our Background Checking Services are accredited to the highest standards, including NSI Gold for BS7858 and the PBSA, ensuring utmost reliability and integrity. Gone are the days when an army of police officers was required to conduct thorough vetting. Through frameworks like G-Cloud, Northamptonshire Police and the Public Sector at large, can appoint Verifile in a day, streamlining their background-checking processes with efficiency and trustworthiness. Let’s not wait for another high-profile failure to highlight the need for stringent background checks. Fun Fact: Did you know that cases of falsifying qualifications date back to ancient times? Even in the 11th century, there were instances of scholars misrepresenting their credentials to gain positions of authority.
