During the very short dance of employment, we, the employees, move through our tasks, striving for excellence, knowing all too well that when the music stops, we'll bid our farewells. Whether it's with a farewell party or a parting gift, the rhythm of our departure plays out the same. Yet, this transience doesn't diminish the importance of giving our utmost every day, of dedicating ourselves fully to the company. However, we must remember that work is nothing but a vehicle, not the destination itself. We must immerse ourselves in our duties, not only for the sake of the company, but for our own growth and professionalism. Striving for personal excellence is not just a service to the employer but a fulfillment of self. And when our current role reaches its limits, we must seek new stages where challenges await, where we can continue to evolve and push our boundaries. In this journey, the paramount protagonist is ourselves, for in reaching our own limits, we open doors to new horizons, new opportunities, and new heights of personal and professional achievement.

Happy Frontline Friday! I'm sure I didn't make this up (even though in my mind I did). Today, let's take a moment to recognize and thank all the frontline workers for their dedication and hard work. From retail to hospitality, every frontline worker deserves our respect and gratitude. As someone who has worked on the frontline in both retail and hospitality, I understand the challenges and the importance of the work they do. I want to share a flashback to my days as a front desk agent, where Dr. J (yes, Julius Erving 😊 ) gave me some of the best words of encouragement during my shift. It was a moment I'll never forget. Not only that, but I also secured my PR internship at the Governor's office while being a front desk agent thanks to the Chief of Staff's impression of my experience during their campaigns. Based on my firsthand experience in the industry, I would like to share some key insights that I believe could benefit your teams if not already incorporated: ⭐ Recognition and rewards go a long way and should not be underestimated. ⭐ Implement proper trainings to maintain brand standard consistency and fostering confidence among team members. Every department should feel confident when reviewing a report or notes from an "anonymous guest." ⭐ Don't forget those working the "graveyard shift." Support, training, and communication are essential to ensure their success. ⭐ Leverage the diverse skill sets within your team. Encourage showcasing individual skills and allow them to share new ideas and give feedback. The ingredient you think you're missing could be in front of you. Let's take this opportunity to show support and gratitude to our favorite frontline workers or recognize an industry for their hard work. Thank you to all the frontline workers for everything you do! #frontlineworkers #hospitality #hospitalityindustry #retail #recognition

Careers Coach. Engaging 50,000+ students and stakeholders with the Careers Calendar across the UK and Abroad.
“A Careers Adviser, a Careers Co-ordinator, and a Careers Leader walk into a bar, and the bartender says, ‘What is this, a joke?’” No, it's the team of individuals you need to deliver a careers programme for your school or college. The desire to save money by creating one job that covers all three roles is dangerous. I had to explain this to a stakeholder this week. In summary, I said this: ✅ Careers Advisers deliver impartial careers IAG. ✅ The Careers Co-ordinator support the delivery of a programme of career activities. ✅ Careers Leaders lead and connect the dots across the organisation and link with external stakeholders. At times, I have been all three. #careers #careersadvisers #careerleaders #careercoordinators
