Does the impact of Vastu change with geographical location? Human nature is universal—our behaviors and energy responses remain consistent, no matter where we are. Vastu principles can be adapted globally to harmonize with any environment. By understanding the interaction between human energy and environmental vibrations, we can achieve balance anywhere. Architectural Insights: European Context: South-facing windows maximize sunlight and warmth, aligning with Vastu principles for natural harmony. Vastu offers a holistic approach to creating balanced, positive spaces worldwide. #GlobalVastu #HarmoniousLiving #EnergyAlignment #vastuworld #mayankbarjatya #vastuconsultant #Vastu #VastuShastra #SpiritualScience #PositiveEnergy #Harmony #Balance #Wellbeing #Mindfulness #HomeImprovement #InteriorDesign #Architecture #RealEstate #Geography #Location #UniversalPrinciples #HumanBehavior #EnvironmentalEnergy #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #GreenLiving #HealthyLiving #SpiritualGrowth #PersonalDevelopment #SelfImprovement #Lifestyle #Inspiration #Motivation

In the two master plan projects I am currently working on at @Rdesign architects in Dombivali, the plantation scheme plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the overall design narrative. Each of these projects has a distinct theme, and the selection of plant species, their arrangement, and the landscape design are essential in supporting the broader vision. For the project with the "Galaxy" theme, the concept revolves around cosmic elements, celestial bodies, and the mystique of outer space. Here, the planting scheme is designed to reflect the fluidity and dynamism of the universe. We are incorporating plants with varying heights, shapes, and textures to mimic constellations, planetary rings, and orbits. The careful selection of colors—dark greens, silvers, and purples—aims to evoke the depth of space and the mysterious glow of distant stars. Additionally, the flow of the pathways mirrors the organic curves of celestial bodies, connecting different zones like cosmic clusters. In contrast, the second master plan, inspired by fables and history, demands a much more rooted and traditional approach. The narrative is deeply tied to cultural and historical elements, and the plantation scheme is designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia and timelessness. Here, I am selecting plants with historical significance, such as native species that have a legacy within Indian folklore or are tied to specific regions. The arrangement of these plants also follows classical geometry, reminiscent of ancient gardens, and helps create an environment that feels like stepping into a storybook. In both projects, the selection of plants is more than just a functional decision; it is about creating spaces that tell a story and evoke specific emotions in the users. Whether it's the cosmic wonder in the Galaxy theme or the feeling of timeless wisdom in the fable-inspired project, the plantation scheme is integral to achieving a cohesive master plan design. Careful selection is key because plants, like any other design element, must harmonize with the architectural language and the overall narrative. Mismatched plant species can disrupt the thematic flow and dilute the story we're trying to convey. Therefore, while designing, I constantly balance aesthetics, sustainability, and narrative impact to ensure that the plantation scheme enhances and complements the master plan, creating environments that are not only functional but immersive. #MasterPlan #DesignNarrative #PlantationScheme #LandscapeDesign #Architecture #NarrativeImpact #Storytelling Rupali Mande R design architects

🕰️ Embracing History: A Unique Architectural Concept 🌿 Unlike many architectural visualization artists, I've always been captivated by the rich tapestry of history woven into our built environment. Coming from the Andaman Islands, a place steeped in centuries-old stories and cultural heritage, this passion runs deep within me. Recently, I had the privilege of channeling this admiration for history into a special project: an architectural concept for a viewpoint with a clock tower along the path leading to Corbyn's Cove Beach. 🏝️ This concept isn't just about creating a structure; it's about honoring the timeless narratives and legacy of the Andaman Islands. Inspired by the island's storied past and natural beauty, the design pays homage to the rich maritime history, colonial influences, and indigenous traditions that shape the fabric of our community. The clock tower serves as more than a mere timekeeping device; it's a symbol of continuity, connecting past, present, and future generations. As visitors pause to admire the panoramic views of the azure sea and lush landscapes, they're reminded of the island's enduring spirit and resilience. I'm thrilled to share this architectural vision with you all, and I hope it sparks conversations about the importance of preserving and celebrating our heritage in the ever-changing landscape of modern development. 🌿⏳ #ArchitecturalConcept #HistoricPreservation #AndamanIslands #CulturalHeritage #ArchViz #TimelessDesigns

Our houses indeed have the potential to become energetic portals of consciousness amplification and connection to the cosmos...but how? Designing them with Sacred Geometry is a way to go, yet not the only one, but let me share with you an introduction to this topic... The structures we build, the dimensions and proportions we give to the spaces have much more meaning to what we think. The Universe works with energy, and each body/structure has its own frequency. The frequency of a house is determined by its landscape, the positioning, the spatial planning, the placement of objects and the types of them, the frequency of the people living there, and literally everything. Without being aware, we see very wealthy people who've attained abundance to be drawn to unique positions to build their homes. Those positions have great views, much space, lush landscape and more. Those are all abundant elements of the nature that attract people who resonate with this frequency. These people understand that being around nature, or in privacy, is the way to build a sanctuary. Not everyone can build a sanctuary house right now, because not everyone has created an internal sanctuary. Yet, the masses are awakening, and so we're going to build more sanctuaries in the future. Believe me...the future for our architecture is bright! Thanks for your attention! 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲́ 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 Project by Collectif Encore via Archdaily curated by Paula Pintos 🟣 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 In many ways, Hourré epitomises our approach to space, landscape, ways of living, and sense of freedom. Moreover, it stresses the priority that we give to what is already there, what is free, and what is yet to come. Also, unlike a lot of ”one-trick poney” buildings that we see, it's a project that is generous with ideas! 🟢 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 And so we kept the roof’s opening intact and turned the doors into sliding windows mounted on the facades so they disappear when opened. Unlike many architects who intend to recreate sunsets at each project they do, we believe that integrating it into our building is enough (and much cheaper). Doing so, the house changes constantly, through the hours, days, and seasons. 🟠 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 There is this picture of a swallow inside the house that we always show when we do conferences. It is a pretty lousy picture. Birds are not easy to shoot. Maybe that’s the unfortunate reason why we talk much more about how windows look like instead of making a place for the birds so they can be part of the house. And the same goes for flowers as well as any other plants. 🟡 W𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲: 𝗘𝗰𝗼-𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 In winter, the sun directly heats the 70 cm thick stone walls and an air/water heat pump heats up the floor. The walls then turn the house into a stove. The inertia of the uninsulated walls allows the house to fully breathe, silently since there’s no CMV system (some of us have forgotten that air flows naturally without any engine nor electricity). Episode 117 of A is for Architecture is online, a discussion with landscape architect Richard J Weller, Professor Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design and Co-Founder, The Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism & Ecology. We talk about his beautiful book, *To the Ends of the Earth: A Grand Tour for the 21st Century*, published by Birkhäuser this year. The book develops the historical practice of the Grand Tour – ‘an intellectual, cultural undertaking that was sort of a finishing school and an education for the aristocracy’ where, by travelling to the great sites of Antiquity, they would ‘buy art and take ideas and influences back home with them to England and model their gardens and their villas and their follies and their salons on the things that they had purchased and been influenced by’. Richard’s selection of 120 places ‘are emblematic of the contemporary global, planetary cultural conditions, [with text and drawings that delivers a ‘clear-eyed account of what these places are as a form of empirical evidence as to what we as a species have become in the Anthropocene.’ It's a fascinating book that touches on issues of aestheticization, the touristic gaze, virtuality and, possibly, a revived moral wanderlust. Thesis: Redevelopment of Tinau Ghat (Tilottama, Rupandehi) Ghats hold profound sentimental value, echoing with rituals and memories of countless farewells. To honor this, I designed a linear axis featuring a Mahadev temple, serene sitting areas, and a contemplative space. The Mahadev temple, at the heart of the Ghat, is philosophically crafted to radiate calm and positive solace energy throughout the premises. It stands as a beacon of peace, inviting individuals to find solace and strength in their moments of grief. The landscape design emphasizes comfort and tranquility, ensuring a supportive environment for reflection and healing. For the hot climate of Rupandehi, for general public, Chautari spaces and stone-finished sitting platforms to provide cool respite was designed. A lush canopy of vegetation shades the entire landscape, creating a peaceful, green haven. Along the axis, accessible only by ascending steps, lies a sanctuary designed for contemplation. Here, the grieving soul finds solace, gently lifted above the mundane cares of the world and feel a sense of elevation from the earthly realm, lightening the burden on their hearts. Encircling this serene space is a pathway adorned with verses from our sacred Hindu scriptures — the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, and Upanishads. Each word of solace and wisdom whispers comfort, each line a balm for the wounded heart. Through this project, I aim to underscore the profound impact of thoughtful Ghat landscape design in nurturing both body and spirit. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey. #Architecture #LandscapeDesign #UrbanPlanning #CulturalPreservation #SustainableDesign #Nepal #ThesisProject #CommunitySpaces #EmotionalDesign

>>BIOPHILIA & BIOPHOBIA IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT Our ancestors thrived in environments stripped of modern comforts and conveniences. Their survival, well-being, and reproductive success hinged on their adeptness at discerning and utilizing environmental cues judiciously. They mastered the art of interpreting signals from both living and non-living elements of their surroundings, adapting their behavior accordingly to navigate diverse contexts. Viewing this through a problem-solving lens suggests that our INTERACTIONS WITH NATURE are MULTIFACETED. They encompass not only moments of PLEASURE AND DELIGHT (biofilia), but also feelings of FEAR AND AVERSION (biofobia). Therefore, the crux of the matter lies NOT IN QUESTIONING THE EXISTENCE OF BIOPHILIA, but rather in understandig its PARTICULAR FORMS. As humans, we are both unique and alike: distinctly human yet diverse in shape and form, with DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CONNECTION WITH NATURE. It is imperative that we direct our focus towards EXPLORING both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE HUMAN REACTIONS to the NATURAL WORLD. It's crucial for us to uncover the FACTORS that INFLUENCE INDIVIDUALS' BEHAVIORS and EMOTIONS towards animals, plants, habitats, and ecosystems, determining why people lean towards certain attitudes and actions over others. We need to be aware and focus on EXPLORING and RESPECTING both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE REACTIONS OF PEOPLE to the BUILT ENVIRONMENTS designed with the PRINCIPLES OF BIOPHILIC DESIGN. >>THE BIG CHALLENGE for architects and designers is the INCREASING BIOPHOBIA AMONG URBAN DWELLERS! Inspired by "The Biophilia Hypothesis" edited by Stephen Kellert and Edward O. Wilson, (1993) - Chapter 4 - "Humans, Habitats and Aesthetics" by Judith Heerwagen and Gordon H. THE CROW SCULPTURAL FOUNTAIN - Preliminary concept As many of you know, I´ve always liked to use this space to share original concepts that merge several disciplines, such as urban scale sculpture, landscape architecture and water features design. From my point of view, combining all these three is a fantastic opportunity to create unique landscapes and placemaking that enhance the quality of life and generate economic development. Like today's project, a tribute to the local bird species, the crow, to highlight the place's identity and ecology. #fountaindesign #urbandevelopment #sustainability #placemaking #waterfeatures #urbanbeautification #publicart #betterworld #urbanplanning #smartcities #sustainabledesign #experience #publicspace #urbandesign #urbanism #landscaping #landscapearchitecture #oase #oaselivingwater #livingwater
