Happy Sustainable Gastronomy Day! In conjunction with Sustainable Gastronomy Day, we would like to highlight how sustainable gastronomy can play a role in overall sustainable development within communities, particularly by promoting agricultural development ensuring food security, nutrition, and sustainable food practices. We are happy to support one such project by Persatuan Aktivis Sahabat Alam (KUASA) which works closely with Orang Asli communities in Perak & Kelantan, aiming to benefit 17 villages with over 5,000 households towards climate resilience and more sustainable agricultural practices. The aim to establish community farm systems will not only ensure food security, but will also contribute to their overall socio-economic wellbeing. Join us to empower the Orang Asli communities in combatting deforestation and climate change with sustainable farming practices and forest enrichment initiatives. Yemeni coffee is one of the oldest and finest types of coffee in the world, with a rich agricultural and cultural history. As we celebrate #International_Coffee_Day , it’s a perfect time to highlight the importance of #Yemenicoffee as a key product and its role in the local economy. However, the challenges facing the coffee sector in Yemen, such as #climatechange and natural resource depletion, require adopting integrated and #sustainable_agricultural practices to ensure the continuity of this product and enhance its role in development. #Integratedagriculture relies on techniques like #agroforestry, which combines #coffee_cultivation with fruit trees or forest plants, contributing to #soilimprovement and reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers. This method ensures the preservation of coffee quality and increases farm productivity in an environmentally friendly way. Additionally, #biodynamic_farming, which focuses on improving #soilhealth through organic fertilizers, is a modern approach that can elevate the quality of Yemeni coffee and increase its value in global markets that prefer #organicproducts. Moreover, adopting the concept of "coffee tourism" represents a new economic opportunity for Yemeni coffee farmers, where coffee farms can be transformed into tourist destinations that benefit farmers by enhancing their income while promoting Yemen's rich coffee culture. The economic and social impact of these methods is not limited to improving productivity alone; it also extends to creating new job opportunities in rural areas and achieving #sustainabledevelopment, allowing farmers to generate a sustainable income and improve living standards. On a global scale, adopting these practices will strengthen Yemeni coffee's position in international markets and increase its exports, contributing to the economic stability of farmers. In conclusion, integrated and #sustainable_agriculture is the key to advancing the Yemeni coffee sector, ensuring the preservation of its rich #agricultural_heritage while contributing to both economic and #social_development. By adopting responsible farming practices, Yemeni coffee can reclaim its historic status as one of the best and finest coffees in the world. #Yemeni_Coffee #International_Coffee_Day #Sustainable_Agriculture #Integrated_Agriculture #Organic_Coffee #Rural_Development #Added_Value

Taking some well-deserved time off this weekend to recharge at Kebaya Story, where I tried their Nasi Goreng and Salted Egg Calamari—both were outstanding! 🌟 What stood out to me, besides the flavor, was learning that these dishes were cooked using palm oil. Palm oil is incredibly versatile and widely used in the food industry, not just for its ability to enhance flavor and texture but also for its economic and environmental benefits. Palm oil is one of the most efficient crops, producing more oil per hectare than any other vegetable oil crop. This means it requires less land to produce the same amount of oil, helping to conserve biodiversity and reduce deforestation pressures. Additionally, the palm oil industry supports millions of livelihoods globally, particularly in developing countries. My experience at Kebaya Story was a reminder of how important palm oil is in our everyday lives, from the food we eat to the economic impact it has around the world. I rated this experience an 8/10 for taste and value, and I’ll definitely be returning! #Sustainability #PalmOil #FoodIndustry #EconomicImpact #CulinaryExploration #YoungElaeisAmbassador #Regenerasi Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries
