Last week Wagan Holdings held a tenant appreciation / meet the new management team event for our residents in our newly acquired property in Inver Grove Heights. From what I have heard and seen, most ownership groups don’t do this (maybe that’s an incorrect assumption so please chime in and tell me I am wrong!) The assumption is that the tenants are going to be angry about the disruption in their lives from management changes and the looming potential that rent increases are coming—so why go and be subjected to this onslaught of criticism? Turned out that this was one of the best things we could have done for a few reasons: - First off, they were extremely happy that we were actually responding to them and fixing issues in their homes - They were excited about the updates and renovations that we were doing and in general were OK with the marginal bump in rents - They saw that we actually cared about them by giving them a chance to meet us and answer their questions It was a simple gesture that was extremely well received and we are already seeing the benefits of it as we work through lease renewals. Giving our tenants the best living experience possible is what we do this for. The easiest thing we can do is offer the chance for them to be heard.

The properties we get for our clients attract quality tenants. This tenant had an unfortunate health issue after 12 months. They called us and said they had to move.
