Entrepreneurs and business leaders are well aware of the risks they face starting and developing businesses. With the expected budget announcements and enhanced employment rights - I can imagine many current and prospective business builders and job creators are starting to wonder... Is it worth it?
No. of millionaires leaving the UK in 2022: 1,600 No. of millionaires leaving the UK in 2023: 4,200 No. of millionaires leaving the UK in 2024: 9,500 No. of millionaires leaving the UK in 2025: ??? As more and more entrepreneurs and business owners flee the UK, it seems like the government decided to give them one last kick out of the door. Entrepreneurs relief? Gone. Capital gains tax? Increasing. Nobody understand incentives better than business owners and this is a massive incentive for everyone to get out of the UK. All the business owners I talk to are leaving. It’s a mass exodus. The UK used to be a thriving hub of great businesses and entrepreneurs, now it’s unrecognisable.

Top management pay has always been a Taboo topic. instead of celebrating the fact that UK companies are able to stand and compete with their peers from other regions, we tend to compare them to average salary and median pay in those companies and literally shame them for taking home that much.. no wonder UK companies get taken over by companies from other places, Boards/Top management do not object, perhaps they see more compensation/flexibility under a different master..
