Since the launch of the Direct Vision Standard permit scheme, London has seen a 60% reduction in fatal collisions, while the rest of the UK has only achieved a 12% reduction. Among these, a significant proportion has mobility impairments. Specific estimates for mobility impairments can vary, but it is generally accepted that about 3-4% of the global population experiences significant mobility issues. ➡️ Therefore, roughly 3-4% of the world population, which translates to about 240-320 million people based on a global population of around 8 billion, have mobility impairments. 🔀 Opening a significant problem to tackle, with a massive potential market opened for TECH for GOOD #diversity #equity #inclusion #tech #handicap #mobility #business #avairx
