Diving into "HR from the Heart" by Libby Sartain and Martha I. Finney with some of my professional friends. Came across this segment and I thought to share with my dear HR colleagues: How does your role add value to your company’s business? How does your role support and nurture the careers of the people who work for your company? What can you do to create a workplace community that allows business to be done, and in which the individuals who work at your company can invest their talents, skills, and passion daily and, in turn, feel inspired and engaged by the opportunities your company offers?" Certainly, something to ponder on.. Here's to a year filled with inspired contributions and meaningful engagements.

“Hiring employees with neurodiverse backgrounds solves not only the workforce challenges manufacturers have right now but helps us fulfill a value important to Morrison - helping our community. We’d be missing out on valuable contributors to the workforce without embracing workforce initiatives like this that can make a difference in our organizations and the world around us.” Learn more about building neurodiversity within your organization from Ben Schatzel, Founder & Managing Director at Stannum Core Solutions (The Illinois Manufacturer, Page 8). https://ow.ly/LSMC50RCgyX

Chief Inspiration Officer I HR Done Differently for small businesses I #inspiringhr #hrdonedifferently
March 1 is tomorrow! Are you ready to demonstrate meaningful appreciation to employees? Will co-workers show appreciation for each other? If the answer is yes I recommend leaders take note of that and emjoy the win for a moment. It means you are doing a good job building a culture that depends on you but not only you. When I refer to trickle down leadership, employees appreciating each other falls into that. Broadly speaking, “what did you do yesterday that could positively impact how others choose to act today?” BONUS….Did you know March 1 is also National Unplugged Day? Can you honor that and appreciation in a single act? Thinking……. In close, and for our school leaders trying to solve teacher burnout and vacancies: You are not only leading a school. You are also leading a workplace. I can’t help but wonder what principals and administrators will do tomorrow to show appreciation to the teachers they lead? I know many schools have a teacher appreciation week. Regardless, i wouldn’t let this day slip by. It takes little time and effort to tell people who depend on your leadership that you appreciate them. #inspiringhr #hrdonedifferently
We believe in celebrating our employees’ hard work and contributions year-round, but especially on #EmployeeAppreciationDay, coming up on March 1! Simple gestures go a long way. Employees whose efforts are recognized and rewarded feel valued, making them more likely to go the extra mile for your organization. What are some of your favorite ways to show appreciation for your employees? Check out our list below and let us know what else you’d add!
