Use and maintenance of gantry crane (Part 1): Before operating the gantry crane, you should focus on checking the following items: 1. The track should be straight, the fishplate connecting bolts should not be loose, and there should be no obstacles within the operating range of the track and crane. 2. The appearance of the mechanical structure is normal, and the connecting parts are not loose. 3. The appearance of the wire rope is in good condition and the rope clamp is firm. 4. All safety limit devices are complete and intact. 5. After checking and confirming that it is normal, loosen the crane rail clamp before turning on the power. 6. After the power is turned on, a test pen should be used to test the metal structure part to confirm that there is no leakage before getting on the machine; special escalators should be used to get up and down the operating room. Requirements for rail joints of gantry cranes Rail joints should meet the following requirements: 1) When rail joints are welded, the welding rods should meet the requirements of the rail parent material, the welding quality should meet the relevant regulations of electric fusion welding, and the top and side welds of the joints should be polished and smooth. 2) When the rail joints are connected by fishtail plates, the height difference and lateral misalignment of the joints should not be greater than 1.0 mm. The gap should not be greater than 2.0 mm. 3) The gap at the expansion joint should meet the design requirements, with an allowable deviation of ±1.0 mm. 4) For rails supported by pads, the width of the pads at the joints (along the length of the track) should be doubled than that at other places.
