13 months ago, we took a leap of faith and launched Contractors, Closers & Connections (CCC) of Kansas City with one mission: to create a networking platform that truly brought Kansas City's movers and shakers together. Our vision wasn’t just to talk about real estate—it was to make deals happen. We didn’t know if the commercial real estate (CRE) community would show up. But guess what? We knew one thing for sure: we were going to do it anyway. Now, here we are, hosting the final CCC of KC event of 2024, and what an incredible journey it has been! If you’ve attended one of our events this past year, you already know the energy, the connections, and the opportunities we’ve created together. 💼🔥 But here’s the thing: you don’t have to wait for the “perfect moment” to jump in. If you’ve never made it to one of our events, why not start tonight? Better yet, even if you can’t make it to a CCC of KC event, attend another event happening in KC tonight. In our 25th year, Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID)continues to play an important role in supporting downtown commercial property owners and businesses on Capitol Square, State Street and King Street. Did you know: ·        83 BID events between 2021-2023 drew a total of 484,000 visitors ·        Those visitors stayed an average of 84 minutes downtown ·        Our May 9 Madison Night Market drew 20,050 visitors ·        Our June 13 Night Market drew 23,800 visitors ·        In 2023, BID Ambassadors helped 26,398 visitors navigate downtown ·        112 brick-and-mortar businesses participated in 2023 BID events ·        17 new businesses have opened in the BID in 2024 or are coming soon To learn about our future plans, see more facts and figures and read statements of support from downtown stakeholders and partners, please take a few minutes to read the letter we recently sent to property owners: https://bit.ly/3Scl87f As a special assessment district with a five-year sunset, the current BID authorization ends on December 31, 2024, and we’re currently seeking property owners’ support to continue the District from 2025-2029.   On behalf of the BID staff, our Board of Directors and our community partners, we’re strongly urging property owners to vote ‘yes’ for the 2025-2029 term. #downtownmadison #voteyes

We don’t have crystal balls. If it doesn’t happen and doesn’t need to be managed, there’s no cost for it. NSW - we’ll charge a professional service for what we can’t predict. VIC - we actually DO have a crystal ball and will only ever charge one free to rule them all and in the darkness bind them … except this means that we don’t properly cost our services and will have to overload our staff as a result…and then you’ll leave … for the promise of cheaper pricing and better servicing … which is definitely a paradox … yeh, we should really re-think this . . . Delivering strata management is delivering a specialist service. Price and charge accordingly. To my Victorian industry colleagues, regardless of what you think of me and my “crusade” of posts, please, PLEASE, P-L-E-A-S-E move into the space of Professional Services charging. I, you, we … we’re really good at what we do. We have to stop doing it for free. No need to be the most expensive as a rule. In my latest post, I look at pivotal events in the last five years and the mounding pressure this places on Associations and their Manager. Associations are not always afforded the ability to adjust like many corporations, but for many Associations, the need to wade through these waters of change is now. I created Building Bloc NW to help navigate Associations through overwhelming moments. On Wednesday, 4 December, the council hosted the 11th networking event as part of the Barnet Construction Supply Chain programme. The event brought together 15 local SMEs providing them with the opportunity to expand their networks and explore new business prospects.
