The new Stones Corner precinct plan is a precedent-setting opportunity for other precincts in the city. Initially a market led initiative from key landowners (led by Mark Stockwell) it was positively received and susequently acted on by Council, and is now a new precinct plan, replacing the 15 year old Neighbourhood Plan. How it came about, what's involved in the process and what it could mean for others is the topic of this workshop discussion which should interest developers, designers, planners and industry professionals. Feb 20 at 4pm is when it's happening. Link and more details below or visit the events section of the Suburban Futures web page. https://lnkd.in/gZ5FXeJp
The remarkable story of Stones Corner. Hear also from Brisbane City Council Chair of City Planning and Suburban Renewal Cr Adam Allan how Council responded to the market led vision with a new precinct plan, now signed off by the State Government. This wasn't just fast but also led to an outcome that received unpredented unanimous support from all parties in Council. Learn what this means for other precincts in the city and how market led precinct renewal is now a planning and development reality. February 20th at 4pm. Tickets just $50+GST and Eventbrite fees.
