Ecstatic to share that last night Ragan Mixed Use, was approved by the Holly Springs Town Council. This mixed use project, at the corner of Avent Ferry and Rex Roads, will offer welcomed neighborhood commercial at the corner, and much needed diverse rental housing opportunities. A 7-acre park will be constructed and dedicated to the Town - the first project of its kind to do so!! This success would not be successful without the collaboration between the developer, Greenhawk Development Jeremy Medlin Ben Glass Tyler Probst, PE , the consultant team Jason Barron Kate Murdoch Michael Vampran Sean Vanderslice, RLA and the wonderful Town staff. I look forward to seeing this wonderful community continue to take shape!
This is a crappy project, as someone who lives on Avent Ferry this will lead to a lot more congestion that already is a mess. The traffic already backs up to the lake. Time for Holly Springs council to change and listen to the people and not be brainwashed over gifting a park. The developers buy all the land and then crappy builders come in and put up junk homes. It is all about the money and everyone on this project should be ashamed about yourselves. This project is not welcomed at all.
This will be a great project!
Great job! This project has been envisioned for many years.
Congratulations!

2wIf the project was placed in an urban setting, it would make sense. Putting this square peg in the round hole, is not a prudent honorable decision by the developer or the Town of Holly Springs. This development is a donut hole in the middle of rural residential property with no legal/lawful easement or right of way for roads or utilities other than one to Duke Progress for power. More thought and consideration of the negative impacts to the community should have been studied, yet the town and the businesses involved disregarded all of the People’s concerns in favor of money.
